Auditor general to scrutinize Trudeau government's $187B infrastructure program

A promise to undertake massive infrastructure investments was a centrepiece of the Liberals’ election platform in 2015, intended to boost the economy and create jobs

OTTAWA — The Trudeau government’s massive $187-billion infrastructure program will be scrutinized by the office of the auditor general of Canada. Interim auditor general Sylvain Ricard says his office will endeavour to complete its investigation and report to Parliament no later than next January — as requested in a Conservative motion passed by the House of Commons late last month. The government said at the time that it supported an audit, but most Liberals voted against the motion because it was critical of the government’s lack of transparency and accountability on the file. . However, several reports by the parliamentary budget officer have since found that the money is not getting out the door as quickly as intended. And a Senate committee warned in 2017 that the sprawling program is unfocused and overly complicated, with 31 different departments responsible for doling out funds. This report by The Canadian Press was first published Feb. 14, 2020. Read more: National Post

It is certainly time for this to take place as it looks like he had free sailing this time last 4 years. No big news. The AG is simply doing its job on behalf of Canadians and that’s a good thing. No doubt they will find problems but any AG worth their salt will find problems with anything involving politicians of any stripe.

PM Justin Trudeau speaks with reporters after Africa trip | LIVECanadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is set to hold a press conference on Friday, Feb. 14, 2020 after attending the Munich Security Conference in Germany. ... donates $10,000,000 to Africa for gender quality. Africa doesn't make support being gay and it remains illegal. Just remember that Trudeau just funded and stood by an anti gay country Don't care. JustinTrudeau should be here and at least trying to fix the railway mess. Instead of auditioning for his next job elsewhere. CanadianPM JustinTrudeau claims, *without evidence*, that Canada is a country that embraces the rule of law. New rules, that's how FakeNews is done now.

COMMENTARY: What Justin Trudeau could write to his new friends in AfricaCOMMENTARY: 'Sorry I have not been to an AU gathering before. I have been busy visiting countries such as India, where I got to wear some great costumes, and visited my old billionaire buddy, the Aga Khan,' Matthew Fisher writes. He stands in full support of a country where it is illegal to be gay. Let that sink in. What a classless article from a once reaponsible news organization. I'm sorry Post Media has turned you into the spokeperson for the Conservative party of Canada. It's disappointing to see how far you've fallen. It's a shame. As apose to being right wing and hanging out with you billioner oil barrans while climate change burns the world
