Alberta’s cannabis cultivators and processors could be eligible to receive agricultural grants — via TheGrowthOp

Alberta’s cannabis cultivators and processors could be eligible to receive agricultural grants via the Canadian Agricultural Partnership — that is, if they can meet the requirements necessary to qualify for the funds.

“Cannabis production is eligible for Canadian Agricultural Partnership programs in Alberta for which the applicant meets the eligibility criteria,” a spokesperson for the initiative told Marijuana Business Daily. Nonetheless, there are limitations. Cannabis cultivators are not eligible to apply for Business Risk Management programs via the Agricultural Financial Services Corporation, but they can apply for other CAP programs. Many of these are currently accepting applications from Alberta’s pot producers.

TheGrowthOp F××k. Grants...subsidies....can't anybody run a business without a handout. Or can't governments just let businesses succeed or fail on their own?

TheGrowthOp What you mean is they are going broke and now need taxpayers money to stay afloat Bullshit If they cant make it on their own then they need to go out of business I am so done doing my taxes in this country You are asking for more than i am willing to give due to waste

TheGrowthOp Imagine a system so tied up in paperwork that you need subsidies from the government to make selling pot profitable.
