Los Angeles Clippers forward Paul George has been ruled out of Monday’s matchup with the Raptors, according to Yahoo Sports insider Chris Haynes.

George, a six-time all star and five-time all-NBA talent, remains out with a shoulder injury. He has yet to debut for the Clippers, with whom he signed as a free agent alongside Kawhi Leonard this past summer.

There was a chance George’s first game with the Clippers would be against Toronto on Monday (10:30 p.m. ET on Sportsnet ONE and Sportsnet NOW), but now he’ll have to wait until at least Wednesday, when the Clippers go on the road to face the Houston Rockets.

George is still getting up to speed at the NBA level. Saturday was his first organized five-on-five practice in roughly six months. He is coming off a first-team all-NBA season in which he averaged 28 points, 8.2 rebounds and a league-best 2.2 steals across 77 games.
