20-year-old driver charged in Brampton, Ont. crash that left mother, three daughters dead

Karolina Ciasullo, 37, and her daughters – six-year-old Klara, four-year-old Lilianna and one-year-old Mila – died on June 18 after the Volkswagen they were travelling in was struck by a Blue Infiniti G35 as it made its way through the intersection of Torbram Road and Countryside Drive.

Police said Robertson is also suspected of another driving incident that occured in the Town of Caledon two days before the fatal crash. Robertson is facing one count of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle in relation to this incident. Mourners sobbed outside St. Eugene de Mazenod Catholic Church in Brampton as four white caskets were carried into the church.

Calling him “one of the strongest people I know,” she said the memory of his wife and children will be the source of his strength as he moves forward. He also said that he was told by police that the individual behind the wheel “had multiple offences for driving” and had a prohibited licence as a result.

Should get life without any hope of getting out again, but we are talking about Canadian justice system.

Some people should never have been born. This 20 year old is one of them.

Well that's absolutely horrific :( Condolences to the family. I can't even comprehend the loss and devastation.

He's obviously not black or the cops would have shot him and claimed he resisted arrest.

Court case will be in 3 yrs, will plead to lesser charge of dangerous driving, $500 fine and 6 points.

Like Marco Muzzo, this murderer will get a light sentence. Driving is a privilege, NOT a right.

Should be charged with 4 counts of murder and then thrown into prison for a long long long period of time

Since we're re-examining our county, institutions and ourselves, how about overhauling the Highway & Traffic Act and the Ministry of Transport? Every single day I am witness to horrible drivers who obviously should never have been licensed to drive.

This is so sad, there is no punishment strong enough for the driver that killed this family. My condolences to The husband and father and the families

This makes me so very sad & angry all in one. This is a PublicHealth crisis & one that needs to be addressed outside of just policing.
