Australia's longest-serving judge, His Honour Kerry O'Brien, has presided over countless high-profile cases, but he says the most poignant of his career were those dealing with child sexual abuse. His Honour Kerry O'Brien has spent 31 years as a judge, marking up a 46-year career in criminal law

"Often the smaller cases that receive no publicity can be much more complex and can have greater meaning to those involved," he said. "You wouldn't be human if they didn't make some impact, but you develop a sense of professionalism," he said. Chief Judge O'Brien said a notable change to the legal profession over his career had been an increase in the number of women in the law.

"That's a reflection of the fact that there are more women in the law now than there ever were, and I can only see that number increasing in the future."

Why is our justice system playing games with a man who bashed in infant child to death then cut the body in bits. He served 17yrs now deport the monster. He is trying to claim compo via the courts

Very admirable BUT do d u have any empathy for people acting on their own behalf cos they could not afford a Solicitor. You would have seen them wiped over the floor by the other side & DID NOTHING. ALL PEOPLE DESERVE REPRESENTATION!!

Sadly you were not permitted to order leathal injection because of god bashing fo good era.If these evils had been rogue dogs or other animals it would have been excepted.Rogue human species should be put down in my opinion.
