Parliamentarians from all sides of politics have come together to remember Brisbane mother Hannah Clarke and her three children who were violently killed by her estranged husband. Women’s Legal Service Queensland CEO Angela Lynch told Sky News she believed the event was “a galvanizing moment for action”. “I think Australia was rocked by the horror of the deaths, the nature of the deaths,” she said.
So it is really about doubling down and doing more.” While the horrific deaths of Hannah Clarke and her family shone light on the need for greater DV prevention, she said the event was also being taken advantage of for more sinister purposes. “Women are reporting that their perpetrator is saying ‘you’ll end up like Hannah’,” Ms Lynch said.
Yes it's all hearsay great news sensational, but that's to be expected a trajic event milk it for what it is worth, Mandatory life sentence never to be released! Irrespective of gender in domestic violence situations where death occurs! Oh no that won't happen... Womens defence
That’s disgusting and that is so wrong for women to be treated like this and to know that women are not safe very sad 😔
Seems convenient to blame all men again
bcos law always protects bed guys here
Seems fake.
Fast track threats of violence to court. Slap a DVO on the assholes, put a real time tracking braclet on them and set up a text warning system for the woman of he gets within a certain distance, then chuck the prick in prison immediately if he breaches it. Thats a start to fixing
If this is true then they should advise these women to go directly to police. Death threats are a criminal offence and should be treated as such.
Brisbane family homicide-suicide: Here we go. Where's the evidence for this? You can just make anything up. Never let a crisis or tragedy go to waste in the pursuit of more funding.
