The woman was granted a special exemption to bypass the state’s border laws on compassionate grounds to visit a dying relative, but was swabbed and taken by police to her accommodation upon landing at Adelaide Airport.

A positive test result was returned on Monday which marked the state’s first confirmed infection in 19 days, sparking public anger over the government's decision to let the woman in. SA Chief Health Officer Nicola Spurrier said she stood by her decision to grant the travel exemption and reassured the public there were strict measures in place to regulate the movements of anyone entering. Officials said the case did not impact plans to move to stage two restrictions on Monday.

Great job Australia. You shut down small business and allowed infected people to evade the rules.

No international travelers and or students should be allowed into Australia, end of story ! If they come here they must be put into a supervised isolation and be tested, which they need to meet the cost for!

Exit the brit! 🤣

Our international border is closed to foreigners. We thought. Statistics show 5,000 arrived in April. The government just lies, lies and takes Aussies for fools. Wait till international students are exempted.

How do you get an exemption without being tested? Who decided that was a good plan?

so what.

that will teach them! any Australian border should be closed, shut to any international traveler, as the pandemic is running wild outside Australia.

Which is why we all need a fourteen day quarantine...

Experts fear 'pandemic fatigue' as COVID-19 cases drop to pre-Ruby Princess levelsAs Australians continue to recover from COVID-19 at a faster rate than new cases are diagnosed, the number of active cases falls below 500. Good stuff. Fingers crossed for the next few weeks. Honestly the captain of this ship should be hung from the highest mast in the Admiralty. Ruby Dutton will fix that.

COVID-19 'perfectly adapted to humans' from day one | Sky News AustraliaFlinders’ University Professor Nikolai Petrovsky says it’s proving difficult to explain how COVID-19 was “clearly perfectly adapted to humans from day one” which is not typical in a virus which has spread from wild animals.\n\nProfessor Petrovsky has completed a scientific study, currently undergoing peer review, in conjunction with La Trobe University in Victoria, which found COVID-19 was uniquely adapted for transmission to humans, far more than any other animal, including bats.\n\nHe told Sky News this highly unusual finding left open the possibility that the virus leaked from a laboratory.\n\nAlthough unconfirmed, it is widely believed the deadly virus originated from a live animal market in Wuhan, but Professor Petrovsky said when facts are uncovered which “don’t seem to fit what people are saying, then you’re obliged to make them public somehow”.\n\n“This virus is amazingly adapted to humans and that’s not normal in a situation where a virus has come from a wild animal to a human.\n\n“Typically it takes a while for that virus to adjust to a human environment, (but) this virus was clearly perfectly adapted to humans from day one”.\n\nProfessor Petrovsky said although this is unusual it could still be a “natural experiment that nature has thrown at us,” which is why he couldn’t rule any theory in or out as they are “all still possibilities that need to be addressed”.\n\nImage: AP Can you guys stop spreading dog whistles like like 1 minute.
