The woman was charged after an ongoing investigation which began when police searched her home in the city's southwest in March.

During the raid, police seized 4.4kg methylamphetamine , which has an estimated value of $1.5m, as well as cash, a loaded pistol, ammunition and several electronic items. As a result of inquiries and a public appeal, police arrested and charged a 21-year-old Cobbitty man with multiple drugs and firearms offences last month.

Following further investigations, detectives returned to the home about 7am today and arrested a 22-year-old woman.Investigators also seized a Toyota Corolla, which will be subject to forensic examination. The woman was charged, and police will allege she pretended to be a registered nurse and altered pay slips and banking records to fraudulently obtain finance to purchase a new vehicle.
