Our chief medical officer has revealed the crucial reason why Australia is in desperate need of the COVID-19 AstraZeneca vaccine.

There is rising concern that alarmist reporting of the effectiveness of the different vaccines could “rock” public confidence in the program.

Even though it had been showed to not work !!

Wouldn't it make more sense for whoever is making this vaccine to get the data from Phizer (that has a vaccine that's 95% effective) and not this crap that's only 63% effective, and manufacture it here in Oz? Like just pay Phizer a couple of billion and make it here.

Not suggesting we should not go with the Astra Seneca vaccine if that is our only option. But is it our only option and if so why?
