Ooooh yuck SkyNewsAust just appeared in my feed. Hoping my tweets aren’t infected! 🤢 Oh, thank god! I'm glad she said something. Mr McGowan wouldn't have known otherwise! Let's get the airforce in to fly her home! ? Not an unusual or newsworthy case at all. I haven't seen my eastern states family and friends for 3 years.

Mark has made a strong decision - he is a true leader. SKY and LNP hacks can’t help themselves trying to attack a real leader. Unfortunately for her, NSW let her rip has stuffed up any chance of her coming to WA.. blame Perrotett of whatever his name is, not McGowan, who is protecting people's lives.. Sky News is so biased it needs to be corrected on a regular basis

Hi Sky News social media team! Here’s your semi-regular reminder that your skills are sought after and valued in many organisations, including those which won’t force you to post utter drivel like this on the reg have a nice day Elected politicians and unelected bureaucrats have no accountability until election time ... and even then the bureaucrats are a protected species

Hey there , did you inform your interviewee that she is welcome from Feb 5 under new transition/exemption plan? Direct her to the facts by an chance? Nah, get in the way of the lying premise of your story. Don't call yourself reporters ok? You are propagandists. Her plight is more important than people dying, businesses shutting, mines closing

Awwww what a shame she can’t come and endanger us all. Has she applied yet under the new more compassionate rules.....

Bushfire burning at Karrakatta cemetery as Perth enters heatwave after 42 degree dayFirefighters are battling a bushfire they say could potentially threaten lives and homes near the Karrakatta cemetery in Perth 's western suburbs, while Kings Park is also on bushfire watch. No respect for other countries, journalists can make extra money by spreading rumors about other countries, neither ABC news nor its reporters, lack professionalism, lack the professionalism and authenticity that news media should have, which proves ABC is an unqualified company.

McGown should be charged for being in breach of human rights for his border closure Australia's richest man is allowed to SKIP hotel quarantine via Crap, note your GtG form your are visiting family in WA Australia has been left wondering why we are stuck with the stenographers from News Corp. Rupert send a memo kids?

Its not all about you Think of your great grandparents who sent a telegram to their distant relatives on their marriage because travel was unaffordable to all except the rich Use zoom like we watch the funerals of loved ones who have died from Covid in NSW and England Cry me a fucking river. If you are from Perth and have family here you should absolutely qualify for a G2 pass to come in. Don't want to quarantine? Sorry, that's just necessary to keep everyone, INCLUDING YOUR FAMILY safe!

Keep it closed ...learn from Queenslands disgraceful opening Sky circles the drain. You always get the selfish ones. Premier is right to protect the health of the people. Corona Will Stay Permanently On Mother Earth its Complite Wipe Out Impossible, Entire World is Open inspite Of High Numbers Cases, WA Have To Learn Handling Corona Safely By Adopting Social Distance in Public Places But Few Cases Will Continue Like So Many Other Diseases Cases.

Stranger jailed for bashing elderly Perth retiree to death in 'rage' over his treatment of womenSebastian Ruiz is sentenced to more than 10 years behind bars for the manslaughter of 76-year-old Keith Moylan in his own unit, with the judge condemning it as a 'cowardly' and 'unjustified' attack'. Hopefully he cops same treatment in prison too. Good That would be one incredibly small penis.

Our son lives in Perth dad 88 had a stroke still couldn’t come see it been 3 years now we live in Melbourne Suck it up princess. At least you and your family are alive to tell the story. Real news please! I sure the people the at Sky News were trying to figure out an angle where they could blame Dan Andrews ...

Not about you sweetie So what! I agree with McGowan, wish he was our Premier. The whole country should be locked down if only we had a leader with guts. I love when we are not in lockdown most people never see their family except for maybe once a year, now we are locked down we want something to complain about lol, you will see them again but we are in a once in a lifetime pandemic, shit is going to be tough! lol

The poor princess doesn't have a phone? And on the other hand, there are many more who are glad this delay to our borders happened. Where is the interviews with the majority? Compassionate exemptions have been outlined. BTW I can't read your story because I have 'Bye Rupert' installed - MurdochGutterMedia not for me.

Content is a cruel mistress. I wouldn't give Sky a click if my life depended on it, I only read the 'crushing' comments. ^she wasn't crushed ffs I afraid hundreds of lives and more important. Mark McGowan making the tough decisions for the people of his state. He leads....

Perth are pretty well snookered this year with covid driven rescheduling. Too many shortened gaps between matches then lengthy spells. Tough to get settled. Maybe next year. Who knows with covid.

BS and dismal failure of governance. The 'eastern' states are fine. I workout every morning, buy my coffee and work, like 99% of people in Sydney everyday. The peak is already passing with 2700 people in hospital. 2 years and WA couldn't figure out what to do. Now they lie. He's keeping his oath to the people of Western Australia to keep them safe 👏👏 ScottyDoesNothing & Domicron should start taking notes. AlboForPM ItsWayPastTime

ask tasmanians and many other states, they would love to be in WA's position. They are not yet tripled Vaxed and please report NSW deaths today as we let it rip to open the economy...FAIL again LNP. Selfish woman upset that people dying have got in the way of a family visit... FirstWorldProblems Zero sympathy.

Please tell me how the 46 people who died from Covid in NSW yesterday are “learning to live with it”? Perth Woman Cares More About Herself Than Safety Of Family and WA Community. I think that’s what they really meant. Sky news is oxymoronic You are on your own in WA. ScottMorrisonMP how can an Australian Citizen not be allowed to travel within their own Country, disgraceful, do Something!

What would you expect? Sky. Murdoch.

Premier Mark McGowan announces delay to WA's border openingWA Premier Mark McGowan has announced the plan to reopen WA's border to quarantine-free travel on February 5 has been delayed. I am relieved. Hearing colleagues in agedcare + healthcare share their heartbreaking experiences, I’ve been so scared about what this will do to older West Australian and our workforce. Not the optimal solution, but it’s the best one we currently have. SANITY!! Something missing in the other states wishing us the worst. Merely delaying the inevitable.

Crushed? What? By a forklift? Should have watched the media conference, if you have family you can return but have to quarantine and vaccinated booster Remember 'rules are rules'? That was your fearless leader trying to undo a huge hypocritical backflip on That Tennis Player. But if he believed and acted accordingly, we'd believe him. But doesn't so we don't.

Media trying to make news. Is her name Karen? He's a 🤡🤡 Who cares, she thinks she's more.important than nillions of people being safe. Grow up. There is always zoom, teams etc. At least her family and friends in WA aren’t dead from COVID-19. Don't say WA it's just became NORTH KOREA

Mark McGowan 'has always made the right call', Anthony Albanese declaresOpposition Leader Anthony Albanese has declared Mark McGowan “has always made the right call” in the wake of the Western Australia n Premier’s indefinite hard border closure announcement. Kick the can down the road all you want McGowan, it's not going to change a thing. Israel is boosted and is dealing with an enormous surge in cases, reopening covid wards and delaying elective surgery. Quit thinking this is a sustainable strategy! If it was for Albanese Australia would still be in a lockdown. I was a supporter of Labor Party but now I don’t want this type of pathetic politician to be a future PM of Australia. That’s Labor for you. Lockdowns!

WA Premier Mark McGowan delays border reopening until triple dose vaccination rates reach above 80%Mr McGowan has delayed the state’s reopening over fears lagging booster vaccination rates will cause the Omicron variant to run rampant in the community. Yes a hero. I don’t understand under what pre-conditions he will open. If not a fully vaccinated population, when? See you next century, WA! The right thing to do for WA from an envious Queenslander. I wish we'd been better prepared & our vax percentages were higher. I also LOVE how this is gonna get RIGHT UP Morrison's nose‼️

Try 14 days free now  Laura Rafferty, 31, has not been able to see her family in Perth for more than two years, as she questioned the indefinite border extension by Western Australia Premier Mark McGowan. Premier Mark McGowan announced indefinitely extended the hard border two weeks out before it was due to reopen to interstate travellers. Picture: NCA NewsWire/Sharon Smith "I just wanted to see my family. I'm alone in Sydney, all my family are in Perth, and to hear the news of the opening (announced last year) was so exciting and to have that crumbling down, it's just so disappointing." Ms Rafferty had hoped she would be able to travel back and forth between Perth and Sydney when she moved to the Harbour City, but that has been ruled out due to Mr McGowan's unwavering stance on tough border measures. The 31-year-old said she had missed two Christmases, not being able to spent time with her family and friends, seeing her grandparents, watching her nieces grow up and celebrate major milestones. The Sydneysider said"there's no hope" and that she has"nothing to look forward to" and questioned why she could not be let back in to WA. "I can freely travel around Sydney and go to Melbourne, but I can't even go back home to my own state," she said. Ms Rafferty disagreed with the stance of Mr McGowan and questioned how long it would continue as other states and territories were learning to live with coronavirus. "Here in Sydney we're living a normal life now, we've had to learn to live with COVID, and after two years of kind of fearing it, it's here now, many of us have had it," she said. "So for Mark McGowan to kind of shut the borders, I mean, how long is this going to go for? "Maybe he's thinking short term but we need to be thinking long term here and this is not the case." The Premier announced in December last year that WA would reopen to the rest of Australia on February 5. He flagged the state needed to reach the 80 per cent double vaccinated milestone before it would open its border. The state is just over one per cent short of reaching 90 per cent with 88.9 per cent of the eligible population with two jabs. The state's Safe Transition Plan has been reworked to fit the Omicron environment sweeping across Australia's jurisdictions. From 12:01am on Saturday February 5, approved travellers are permitted to enter WA, or leave WA and return, with testing and quarantine requirements under a new expanded exemption criteria: Returning Western Australians, with strong recent connections or direct legitimate family connections with WA; Compassionate grounds including funeral, palliative care or terminally ill visitation; Member of the family of an approved traveller; People entering for urgent and essential medical treatment; Reasons of national and state security; Commonwealth and State officials, Members of Parliament, Diplomats; Provision of specialist skills not available in WA, health services, emergency service workers; People required to attend court matters, judicial officers and staff of court, tribunals and commissions; and Special considerations and extraordinary circumstances determined by the State Emergency Coordinator or Chief Health Officer. Interstate approved travellers are required to meet the following requirements: Have an approved G2G Pass, under new exemption criteria; Be triple dose vaccinated if eligible (double dose vaccinated if not eligible for third); Provide proof of a negative Rapid Antigen Test within 24 hours before departure; Undertake 14 days of self-quarantine at a suitable premises, with the same requirements for household members at the self-quarantine premises; PCR testing within 48 hours of arrival and on day 12 of self-quarantine, and household members will also be required to do a PCR test on the traveller’s day 12
