Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews has revealed another 264 ‘mystery’ coronavirus cases, bringing the total number of cases with an unknown source to 3383. Premier Andrews announced another 303 cases in the past 24 hours and four new deaths, bringing the state’s death toll to 293 since the beginning of the pandemic.

Two of the four new deaths can be linked to the state’s troubled aged care sector. The Premier revealed 184 of the state’s 293 virus deaths could be attributed to the aged care system. “Whilst some stability has come to a number of these settings, this is still a very significant challenge for all of us,” he said.
