All workers across high-risk settings in the Northern Territory must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 before the Territory will change its border policies, Chief Minister Michael Gunner has announced.

Quarantine and border control workers are also deemed high-risk, as are workers in essential infrastructure, supply or logistics.Under the new reopening requirements, more than 80 per cent of Territorians in each of the five regions must be fully vaccinated. Next steps include changing the way the NT manages its domestic borders, and its response to any future outbreaks in the Territory.
