US President Donald Trump and Australia’s Prime Minister Scott Morrison have both made the same boast about their coronavirus response this week. They can’t both be right. COVID19

“It’s over 100,000 tests a day. And these are accurate tests, and they’re moving rapidly, which is more than any other country in the world, both in terms of the raw number and also on a per capita basis. The most.”

“Those testing figures are the result of some incredible work that has been done by the health ministers, and the securing of the testing materials themselves and their application right across the country. We already mentioned Germany. Yes, it has carried out roughly 300,000 fewer tests than America, but it’s done so with a smaller population of 83 million. Do the maths, and you find that it has currently tested about one in 90 people.

“I’m certainly not confident even the numbers out of the US aren’t much higher than are being reported, because nobody else in the world has been doing testing like we have. So, for weeks, the country suffered from a severe shortage of test kits, which allowed the virus to spread virtually undetected.

Coincidentally both have also claimed to have the best healthcare system in the world.

China Is

Do do these shit storeys.

I didn’t know it was an Olympic sport

In Australia, we are pretty lucky that in the National Cabinet, 5 Labor and 3 Liberal Premiers/Chief Ministers are working together and very closely with the Lib PM. But that is not the case in US.

Australia has done pretty well so far. Also I wouldn’t simply blame Trump at this stage. US has 50 states, 330 million people, far more complicated. And the hardest hit states NY, CA and WA are run by Democrats. Remember it

They are both right. You need to understand their context. ScoMo is talking about the overall tests per capital. AU is one of the highest. Trump is talking about the test done on that day, the current test capacity. On that day US tested 100,000 and now increased to 200,000 a day

They are as bad as each other

I personally believe after all of this is done, there should be a pandemic response olympics... Because every leader always says they have the best people!! I’d love to see that put to the test 🤣🤣😊😊

Neither

Stops with the big noting showman ship both of you and just get on with the flipping job so over it both of you have big mouths

Who cares. It's not a competition !

Trump has no credibility what so ever, but any public figure claiming that the USA is the best at anything will win brownie points with Americans.

T Rump is set to make more money out of the crisis 😡😡😡

Aus has runs on the board.Less per capita infection Less per capita deaths, Better health system, Better social support (handicap to towards USA on intern’l arrivals, more potential sources, but not enough handicap to take Aussie lead) but equal on the both economies are rooted

It's not a contest you muppets

Doesnt Trump says per day and Morrison says total overall?

BernardGyorgy They’re both salesmen. 👍

😂😂😂😂

A more accurate answer is neither. Morrison is just much less wrong than Trump. South Korea 100000 times better response than Australia.

Ahhh,.... now I know why this hashtag is trending ScottyFromMarketting

Just get on with the testing and stop prancing around like peacocks, trying to score points. The death rate will be the telling.

Definitely not Australia

Right you are

Both are well known liars, so I’m guessing neither are right

The numbers show its Australia

Who cares they should work together

Same script writer

🇦🇺

The article is spurious high numbers of reactive testing is poor US and Australia both pale when compared to the true testing benchmark of South Korea

Can you imagine if we had Trump? Think about that.

ScoMo did better though👌

The Self- proclaimed leaders.

Straight out Murdoch propaganda Where are the roadside checks in Australia ScottyFromMarketing like Korea?

Trump is a joke

They are both wrong. South Korea and Bahrain are ahead of both.

Ja ja ja. What a joke

They both could be wrong

Trump is full of shit!
