US-Russia negotiations over Ukraine could escalate into ‘World War III’

Calm heads are needed in talks between Russia and the United States as the situation over Ukraine could “very well draw us into World War III,” says Cypress College’s Professor Peter Matthews.More activity along the Russia-Ukraine border appears to indicate a large number of operating bases.

“We’ve got two sides with nuclear weapons … both sides have to agree to a certain amount of concerns each side has and settle it,” Prof Matthews told Sky News Australia. “Because the whole world is watching and could draw us into another World War III – that’s how dangerous we are at this point.”

Easy fix. Offer NATO membership to Russia if they agree to the terms. They get the security they want, NATO expands, war is avoided and China loses clout. Simple
