The United States said Tuesday it would curb visas for Chinese officials over"repression" of Uighurs and other Muslims in the western region of Xinjiang, a day after imposing commercial restrictions.

Mr Pompeo called on China to"release all those arbitrarily detained, and cease efforts to coerce members of Chinese Muslim minority groups residing abroad to return to China to face an uncertain fate." The order will also affect their family members, including children who may be seeking the prestige of an American education. But lawmakers have asked the United States specifically to take action against Chen Quanguo, the Communist Party chief for Xinjiang.Reputed within the party for his handling of minority groups, he earlier led iron-fisted policies aimed at curbing dissent in Tibet.

Beijing voiced its"strong dissatisfaction and resolute opposition" over the move and denied there were any human rights abuses in Xinjiang.Organ harvesting of ethnic and religious minorities in China happening on a 'significant scale'

Is China 'cheating' the system by claiming to be a developing country? What is at stake from China's status as a developing country in the World Trade Organisation? Based on their massive population they are certainly a developing country who are striving for middle class living for all. To be fair, being a fully developed country evidently gives a nation cart blanche to do whatever they want in spite of international law or human rights, as Australian immigration and pretty much all US foreign policy proves. not the world's leader of reverse engineering and currency manipulation

It has become ‘bad for business’ to criticise China | Sky News AustraliaSky News host Andrew Bolt says it has become a “pathetic” trend among companies and governments alike, primarily in the West, to not criticise China because it has become “bad for business”. \n\nMr Bolt said the 'West' is “part of the problem”, and has become “too weak, too dozy and too greedy to stand up to this fast-growing menace”.\n\n“The dictator in Beijing must be laughing….as President Xi Jinping crushes all dissent and flexes China's power,” he said. \n\nMr Bolt was critical towards the Australian government for not responding by providing “the kind of armed forces we need… as the defence minister admits that China and technology are not waiting for Australia”.\n\nImage: Getty I guess FauxMo is not anti globalism like he'd like his followers to believe. Andrew himself is at times pathetic,,he should be on whinging radio,,just as bad for doing nothing!
