The tennis star's lawyer said every minute was 'extremely precious' in the 'extraordinary circumstances' given the tournament begins on Monday. 9news

The tennis star's lawyer, at an urgent hearing before Judge Anthony Kelly of the Federal Circuit and Family Court, said every minute was "extremely precious" in the "extraordinary circumstances" given the tournament begins on Monday.

Mr Wood was scathing of the time it took the minister to make the decision to cancel the Serb's visa, drawing attention to the fact it was only made late on Friday. Judge Kelly said he was considering a brief injunction on the minister's order until about 4pm Saturday, allowing both parties to consider what they wanted to submit to the court.Mr Wood confirmed Djokovic had not been detained yet, nor was there any proposal to take the tennis star into detention tonight. He said it would be "somewhat absurd" if Djokovic was detained on Saturday night.

Prime Minister Scott Morrison issued a statement on Friday evening addressing Mr Hawke's decision, saying it was made to protect the "sacrifices" of Australians.

He is an anti vax. Send him home! We Australia only welcome vaccinated people.

This is not an issue of his vax status. Its about the message Djoko sends about freedom of choice. The Aust govt and Rio Tinto want to operate a lithium mine in Serbia. Serb govt has not made a decision on. Djoko is an advocate for climate change.

Can you pass on to his lawyer that's Australians don't give 2 shits about Novax and want him gone!

This is not about the safety of people nor covid-19 just politics at its very worst.

He may well be gone 3 years , but why oh why would he want to return to Australia Its a big world out there

Why are Feds taking Rapid tests at the border, sourced & purchased by Private Sector? How am I meant to use them for staff when the Feds have taken my ordered stock delaying my delivery until more are sourced? Is this how they are procuring those 200m tests they didn't plan for?
