GB News presenter and Anglican Deacon Calvin Robinson says the United Kingdom hasn’t “planned for the future” as residents have been told blackouts may occur over winter. Mr Robinson said successive governments do not plan ahead as they only look at what they do which can “suit them and make them look votable” – as happened with former prime minister David Cameron’s reticence to establish nuclear power. “We’re not energy self-sufficient, we’re relying on foreign energy, and that’s a problem when there’s a so-called war going on in Europe,” he told Sky News host Rita Panahi. “What we need to do is invest in nuclear, in fracking, and in coal in the United Kingdom, make sure we can provide enough energy for British citizens.”

calvinrobinson All oil generating stations gone and all but 2 large coal gone. Drax is biomass with 2 of its 6 units on coal. Even new CCGT plants have been closed and destroyed. Often replaced with logistics parks or housing. Fields being turned-over to solar farms. Really forward-thinking. 2/ calvinrobinson Worked as subcontractor within UK power industry. I said back then it will take a really cold winter and rolling blackouts to focus public minds. Closure of our reliable base load coal, nuclear, gas & oil generating stations without any viable replacement have brought us here. 1/

We have five torches, a camping stove, tea, powdered milk, corned beef, flour yeast and a jar of Vegemite! We will be right mate!👍🇬🇧🇦🇺🪃 calvinrobinson Weren't allowed to plan by the nutty Green lobby that apparently thought it was more environmental to ship our energy from around the World when we have it literally under our feet

calvinrobinson Uk has Gas, we significantly increased our exports to rest of Europe since 2021, we lack Gas storage, so why hasn’t trussliz paused Net Stupid saving us billions investing in gas storage? Or have we agreed to prop up rest of Europe at our expense Jacob_Rees_Mogg johnredwood calvinrobinson The energy crisis IS the plan.

calvinrobinson Well said. Let's get coal, oil, and shale gas going.. if the greens want to complain that's fine. calvinrobinson “MAY” ! This is speculation not news 😊 It won't happen. Just like how COVID, Brexit and this summers heatwave didn't kill us all like we were told it would. calvinrobinson That’s all bollox…

calvinrobinson Let's be honest. Boris left behind a catastrophic mess.
