Unions are threatening industrial action if employers do not agree to cover the cost of rapid antigen tests for staff, but business groups have already labelled the request "unworkable".Unions are worried workers will end up in unsafe work environments it they do not have access to free RATs

Letters will now be sent to employers across the country demanding free RATs for workers, better quality masks and better ventilation. Personal safety is a prerequisite to doing your job what are this government thinking by not supplying free tests to all workers. I know that they are getting them for free so why not everyone. People might even be grateful or think they are being thought of

If it's a business cost for work place HealthAndSafety then it should be Tax deductible. Only have to sort out anyone rorting the system as with any deductibles. Mind you, as it is an emergency it should be 100% deductible+some💰assistance at the moment too.

Would not be an issue for business if the government did their job and provided them free. So perhaps instead of business saying 'we can't do that, it'll cripple us' they should collectively lobby the government to do THEIR job.

So they should, if RAT Tests are work related they should at least be tax deductible, if you can find one, (Remember it's not a race) heard that somewhere. 🤔

Just sallymcmanus trying to milk the omicron spike for some attention. Cases of the nothingvirus will decline soon enough and workers, like everyone else, just want to get on with life. AusPol2022 auspol
