Source:Unions have renewed calls for free rapid antigen tests and demanded urgent workplace safety plans be created following an emergency meeting on Monday as the nation grapples with rising COVID-19 infections.

They also want sector-specific plans to be developed as part of this consultation saying the threat posed by the Omicron variant requires a "different response." Treasurer Josh Frydenberg said workers who were sick or symptomatic could get free rapid tests from state clinics, which the federal government was helping subsidise.

“It’s a complex picture - it’s a trying time - but steps are being taken right now to alleviate some of those pressures.”

Only 3 countries provide universally free AT HOME rapid test all of which have had far worse covid outcomes Can you please explain why free RATs solve the labour shortage? Why do people working from home need free RATs? The govs plan (which ALP premiers agreed to) is sensible
