Labor candidate Kristy McBain secured the win on Sunday with an unassailable lead beating out Liberal candidate Fiona Kotvojs 50.58 per cent to 49.42 in terms of two-party-preferred. Mr Murray said while Labor took the seat both its vote and the Greens vote were down three per cent, which is surprising given the media constantly claim a majority of Australians are “all in on climate change”.

“Shorten had six years to get the sort of lack of enthusiasm that Albanese has been able to put together in one year”. In January, Prime Minister Scott Morrison was greeted with less than favourable remarks in fire-ravaged town of Cobargo, a town which votes in the Eden-Monaro electorate. The Liberal Party’s primary vote increased by seven per cent in Cobargo while it decreased by nine per cent for Labor and close to four per cent for the Greens. “Ferals are not quiet Australians”.

Green: 'On its current boundaries, Eden-Monaro is a more conservative seat than when Kelly was first elected in 2007.' Libs should have won it easy without Mike Kelly. Calling voters ferals... well, so did the Libs/Sky. Worked. For ALP🤣 via ABCNews

IN A NUTSHELL - THE EDEN-MONARO RESULT: • Labor won • The Liberals lost • The Nationals lost • Bad night for Sky News spinners Side note: The Feral Kid from Mad Max 2 was Aussie as...

For the sake of our Nations Debt it was lucky the LNP didn't win. All that Pork Barreling and rorting has put the countries debt well passed every benchmark the government has ever set. Shame they repealed the debt ceiling

LOL they were up against all the pork barrelling, a hostile Murdoch propaganda machine and A PM who is quote “at the height of his popularity” and they still won 😂

In a nutshell the Libs lost - report that Paul. Just like SMH, let's talk about everything other than the result and who won. Nice takeaways 😂😂

its a bad night for spinners alright, but PMOnAir gives it a go with this wrong 'un, anyway... another distorted offering from the Sky News FarRightAtNight Team auspol MediaIntegrity MurdochRoyalCommission

6. LNP add $150BN to the national debt and still fail to win by-election.

Rigged.

Who's in the seat? Ouch. Eat that humble pie.

Weird how Labor won isn't one of those slogan take points ay

Among all this analysis by those on Sky News regarding the Eden-Monaro by-election, there seems to be one tiny detail that seems to have been missed. Labour has very likely won... auspol

“Bad night for spinners”? Mate your team lost. Stop waffling on about spinners

And still the LNP lost....lol
