I support freedom of speech and democracy – and that is why I support Twitter banning Donald Trump.
But it's biggest contribution to the cause of liberty and democracy has been the example it has set at home. For centuries, America's leaders have come to power not through force of arms or birth, but with endorsement from their fellow citizens. America's courts have applied the law, not the will of the powerful. They have protected the rights of women to control their bodies, while also protecting the right to religious worship.
Trump used speech to try to deprive citizens of their vote and legal rights, with deadly consequences. And he stoked those flames using Twitter. In these circumstances, Twitter – as a private company, with shareholders, employees, and users who have a stake in the vitality of American democracy and the rule of law – banned Trump.
That took you 8 days. There’s jumping on the bandwagon, and then there’s seeing it slowly approach over 4 years, watching it cruise by, it stopping right beside you, you just looking at it, and it leaving at a snail’s pace before you decide to get on board. ThisIsNotJournalism
Remember social media platforms taking credit for the Arab springs and color revolutions! It’s all ok if it’s not the USA! The double standards are breathtaking.

Twitter did not ban Trump for anything he said (he didn’t violate terms of service ) They claim they need to prevent him from inciting violence. As for making false claims about the election results maybe you remember the democrats claim that Trump was installed by Putin.
