US President Donald Trump is on the verge of being impeached for a second time in a fast-moving House vote, just a week after a mob of his supporters stormed the US Capitol.

US President Donald Trump is on the verge of being impeached for a second time in a fast-moving House vote, just a week after he encouraged loyalists to “fight like hell” against election results and then a mob of supporters stormed the US Capitol.Security was exceptionally tight on Wednesday , with shocking images of National Guard troops massed at the iconic Capitol, and secure perimeters around the complex and metal-detector screenings required for lawmakers entering the House chamber.

The four-page impeachment resolution relies on Trump’s own incendiary rhetoric and the falsehoods he spread about Biden’s election victory, including at a White House rally on the day of the January 6 attack on the Capitol, in building its case for high crimes and misdemeanours as demanded in the Constitution.

The outgoing President offered no condolences for those dead or injured, only saying, “I want no violence.” Cheney's father was the vice-president under President George W. Bush and a Republican leader in the House. “She knows of what she speaks,” said Representative Steny Hoyer of Maryland, the Democratic majority leader.

The team around Trump has hollowed out, without any plan for combating the impeachment effort. Trump leaned on Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina to push Republican senators, while chief of staff Mark Meadows called some of his former colleagues on the Hill.Yet Trump and his allies believed that the President’s sturdy popularity with the GOP lawmakers’ constituents would prevent most from voting against him.

2024 Republican presidential nominee: ‘Donald Trump or someone from Trump-wing’ | Sky News AustraliaThe Republican presidential nominee in 2024 will either be Donald Trump or 'someone from the Trump wing” of the GOP, according to novelist Roger L. Simon.\n\nFormer President Donald Trump was acquitted in the impeachment trial on Saturday (local time) as the Senate could not come up with the required two-thirds majority to convict him.\n\nSeven Republicans broke ranks to vote to convict the president taking the vote to 57-43, but the Democrats needed 17 GOP Senators to vote with them to achieve what would be a landmark victory.\n\nThe acquittal means Donald Trump will be able to run for president again in 2024 if he chooses to contest the Republican Party’s nomination.\n\nMr Simon said the Republicans who voted against the former president and voted guilty in this “farcical impeachment” were mostly people who “don’t expect to run for office again”.\n\n“It will be Trump or someone from the Trump wing of the Republican Party,” he said.\n\nHe pointed to Florida Governor Ron DeSantis as a potential Trumpian successor and the “guy everybody’s been talking about”.\n\n“He’s very smart and I think he’s better at being Trump maybe in some ways than Trump.”\n Music to my ears! Bring it on snowflakes ❄️ Looks like MURDOCH MEDIA HOONS have been digging the bottom of the cyberspace barrell again to find someone that suits their agenda namely this 'novelist Roger L. Simo' which one has never heard of... Does he have ties with MURDOCH MEDIA as well? RitaPanahi The world has had enough of this leftist bullshit and using the right as door mats.

Donald Trump is 'back’: Former Trump aide | Sky News AustraliaFormer Trump aide Sebastian Gorka says Nancy Pelosi’s “Trump derangement syndrome” and her attempt to make Donald Trump a martyr for the second time means the former president has been able to re-enter the public sphere immediately.\n\nMr Gorka said following the “sad events” on January 6 at the Capitol building, former president Trump needed to “disappear for while” and wait 12-to-18 months before re-entering politics.\n\n“That all changed with the utterly shambolic disgraceful attempt by Nancy Pelosi to impeach him for a second time,” he told Sky News.\n\n“Her attempt, because she has Trump derangement syndrome, to martyr Donald Trump for a second time meant that he could come back into the public arena almost instantly”.\n\nMr Trump is set to speak in front of the largest annual conservative event, the American Conservative Union, on Sunday, marking his first major speech since inauguration day.\n\n“Donald Trump is back, and he is the de facto conservative kingmaker.”\n SebGorka SpeakerPelosi Seb Gorka - the man with a fake Ph.D.?
