Spain's far-right party doubles seats in hung parliamentThe governing Socialists win Spain's national election but the far-right Vox party more than doubles its parliamentary seats. *far-right* LOL Gosh I wonder what would drive voters to cause that to happen? The goverment got arrogant and disrespected the electorate so there was a backlash? This is why ideologues of any persuasion are dangerous in power, they cause strong oscillations in a society that harm a nation. If only there were signs of hope and reform in Australia.

Labor is fighting a false war that overlooks its real challengeOPINION: Labor is fighting a false war that overlooks its real challenge Labour is a political party without a reason to exist, this is why they cling onto any cause they find that might win them votes. They are the party of populist causes and not people. People can see through then and THAT is why they are in the wilderness. Essential read: Marvin Brown's 2010 book: 'Civilizing the Economy. A New Economics of Provision', a blueprint for a collaborative flourishing society instead of the current neoliberal impoverished dog-eat-dog competitive economy. Don't think they will survive if union memberships keep declining..........There only hope now is keeping company with the greens which goes against the grain of their blue collar base. Stuff them I say.........

Govt standing slips in latest Newspoll | Sky News AustraliaThe government and Labor are on an equal footing for the first time since the May election, as the Coalition's popular support tumbles.\n\nAn exclusive Newspoll published in the Australian had the major parties tied with a 50-50 share of the two-party-preferred vote as Scott Morrison grapples with the drought and a flattening economy.\n\nDespite the release of Labor's internal review into its election loss, its primary vote rose two points to 35 per cent.\n\nThe Coalition's primary vote slipped by two points to 40 per cent — its lowest since before the election - with Mr Morrison seeing a narrow improvement in his personal numbers.\n\nImage: Getty Wow! People are still reading Newspoll. Reminder: a minority of Australian voters actually voted for this government. The LNP should reasonably view 50% TPP as a good result. Well Labor needs to be watching and learning, so that if it takes power it reflects the will of the people not that of those that fund it.
