Lawyer Helen Cook says if we’re going to move away from coal, and if we care about climate change, the “only technology” we currently have today which can replace that fossil fuel generation is nuclear energy.

“We have every reason to be able to develop nuclear energy capabilities in the future and to be able to have nuclear energy as an option,”

Ms Cook told Sky News Australia. You can stream Sky News Australia live and watch programs on demand with Flash. Visit SkyNews.com.au/Flash.

Fact and you don't have to import it either ffs

not totally against it but where we build them certainly won’t b in any blue ribbon locations. If we can do it & build somewhere no where near any cities or towns then maybe. But big question what happens if there is a meltdown? We turned off coal & didn’t bother with renewables

Sky going hard on Nuclear power tonight

Oh, hey, sure. The climate's already shitting itself, thanks in large part to coal. Let's add a few more nuclear reactors melting down, and thousands of pits of radioactive waste that'll be deadly for millions of years to the place.

Lawyer Helen Cook I am sure her conveyancing and corporate law game is on point . Sadly these skills don't apply to nuclear fission high energy particles are rarely affected by a well formed argument.

Getting her name out there for possible legal opportunities if it was considered? Cheap advertising at Sky “News”.

Why is that so? Generally speaking, the most efficient procedure is to operate a machine with fossil fuel power, develop a new power production device with efficiency that replaces fossil fuel by trial and error, and then reduce the use of fossil fuel. Isn't it?

Helen who?
