The Garry Owen Hotel in Rozelle has been slapped with $10,000 in fines after being declared the worst pub in NSW for COVID-19 safety by the industry regulator.The pub had failed to maintain a sign-in register, social distancing and seated patronsThe NSW Liquor and Gaming Authority described the hotel in Sydney's inner-west as having a "complete disregard for mandated COVID safety measures".
"This would probably be the most blatant non-compliance we've seen with the public health orders so far," Mr Argeres said.Inspectors identified several issues during their visit, including management not enforcing sign-in registration, not maintaining physical distancing and not ensuring patrons were seated.
"It's completely different, it's completely safe and they will notice the changes we've enforced when they come in," said the hotel's new COVID safety marshal, Vanessa Hardin.

With so many people not complying with Governments guesswork policies, the question arises; is it really the people that are wrong for not complying? Or is it the goverment that is wrong? They keep changing their “advice”, punishing people for it, and blaming individuals.

More fines; how much has Gov made from struggling Aussie’s (those least able to pay) during covid? I’ve heard rumors of over $5 million, but no-one is releasing the data... so who really knows? These punitive measures are compounding our gov’s policy of ecconomic destruction.

I used to frequent this pub when smoking laws were introduced. Smoking and Non Smoking areas were delineated by a piece of gaffa tape on the floor..
The amazing thing about these restrictions is how junkies have suddenly started respecting the law. Well, I’m assuming that’s the case as there have been zero news stories pointing out them breaking curfews, not social distancing etc.
