Herald Sun journalist Caleb Bond says everything from the western world which “we are able to enjoy” originated from the cultural aspects of Christianity.

He said the Magna Carta, created in the 13th century, was written by the Archbishop of Canterbury and is the document which provides many freedoms and systems used in society such as parliament, trial by jury and the “concepts of human rights”.

“All of these things that we are able to enjoy in the western world, are brought to us by the cultural aspects of Christianity,” Mr Bond told Sky News host Cory Bernardi. “And so many on the left who are self-loathing westerners, want to bring all of this down, don’t realise that all of the freedoms they are given to be able to rail against Christianity, have actually come from Christianity itself.

“You don’t have to be a card-carrying Christian to acknowledge that the work Christianity has done for the people of the west has been fundamentally good.”

Does Caleb know many actual people?

History tells a much different story. This is rubbish journalism/media that just ignores history and totally misleads.

Desperation and working for Sky produce rubbish like Caleb Bond's.

He wouldn’t know his arse from his elbow ..

Churches locked down and gathering dust. Unacceptable !

Caleb Bond should read a few books

Im guessing Wars arent on this list

Christianity should be taught as a combo of philosophy and history. Whether or not it is solely responsible for western civilisation (it’s not), doesn’t make it relevant in 2021. Historically, ppl believed all sorts of whacky shyte.

Im sure the traditional owners of this land and others in the “west” don’t hold a similar view to yours Reverend Bond.

Hmm so he enjoys child abuse and expensive art and property portfolios?

Yep Good Old Christian Boys ..

That's exactly why the Left wants to tear it all down...so we can be as miserable as third world nations

🤣🤣🤣

Heavens above 🤦🏻‍♂️ the Archbishop of Canterbury was also a senior official. There’s no “cultural aspect of Christianity” represented in Magna Carta. If you want to know the cultural aspects of Christianity, read the gospels. Feed the poor. Comfort the crying. Give away your things.

KFC

Porn

And now the ungrateful who have benefited from it are trying to destroy it.

So you guys are socialists now, following Christ's example?

Peter Dutton labels China ‘immature’ over AUKUS criticismAfter nearly 8 years of this appalling government, it's not difficult to tell who's more dangerous and detrimental to the people of Australia ...
