The Murugappan family is in limbo. But for the Morrison government, one thing is crystal clear

Being released from Christmas Island into "community detention" in Perth this week was a welcome relief for the Murugappan family.

Both the Prime Minister and the Immigration Minister have stressed this point. Any refugee status bestowed on the family would not be permanent. They would join more than 18,000 others on temporary refugee visas. Labor has long supported returning this family to the Queensland town of Biloela. It repeatedly calls on the Minister to use his discretion to "let them stay in Biloela". Labor, however, has been far more careful about declaring whether they should be granted permanent visas when thousands of refugees in Australia have not.

Morrison might keep using the family up to the election and ask if Labor will overrule it's own Rudd law, for this family or repeal altogether

If you want to see “refugees” flooding into Australia like those in Europe, support labour. The facts remain: most of them will claim social benefits with a few rare success stories that are always reported by lefty media like the ABC and SBS.

The dogooders have put this family in limbo & are exacerbating by dragging this out. All courts have found them to be illegals. A swift action needs to be taken to just cut this rubbish continuing. Media are culpable. Crims just waiting to sell 'hope on death boats'
