The backlash to the MeToo movement has been a 'disaster for both men and women' according to freelance writer TweetCorrineB TheBoltReport

The backlash to the #MeToo movement has been a "disaster for both men and women" according to freelance writer Corrine Barraclough. The #MeToo movement, which rose to worldwide prominence as part of a hashtag campaign on Twitter two years ago, is designed to raise awareness about the pernicious societal impact sexual assault.

Many high-profile celebrities have been caught up in the scandal, including Hollywood mogul Harvey Weinstein who has been charged with multiple sexual assault charges. However, Ms Barraclough told Sky News the crusade has been “destructive from the beginning”. “At the very heart of the #METOO movement sits feminist theory that men are evil perpetrators and women are innocent victims”. “It’s incredibly divisive and very destructive".
