NSW Deputy Premier JohnBarilaroMP says he is sick of being “lectured by ideologues in Sydney … about what is best for regional rural New South Wales”. Credlin

18/02/2020NSW Deputy Premier John Barilaro says he is sick of being “lectured by ideologues in Sydney … about what is best for regional rural New South Wales”. The NSW government is set to adopt stricter pollution and noise rules on the rail freight sector which will in turn adversely affect the state’s grain industry and could see 25,000 B-double trucks onto the roads to compensate.

“It’s the EPA, again they’re running the policy of the government [and] they’re taking on another attack on the regions”. Mr Barilaro told Sky News host Peta Credlin the decision is “an attack not just on our communities, but industry [and] the future and prosperity” of regional NSW. “I’ll give respect to [Environment] Minister [Matt] Kean that he’s maybe not fully aware what the impacts are, but the reality is he must be aware of what the EPA is saying.

The Nationals 'are as one' on climate policy: Michael McCormack | Sky News AustraliaDeputy Prime Minister Michael McCormack says it is easy for the Liberal MP Trent Zimmerman to go for a “frolic” and argue for a net zero emissions target by 2050 because, “he’s the member for North Sydney [and] I’m not the member for North Sydney”.\n\nMr McCormack said such a target is “not on the agenda,” but the policies the Coalition took to the 2019 election will be met with a reliance on “technology not taxation”.\n\nThere has been a gradual build up of pressure on the deputy prime minister over the Bridget McKenzie sports rorts scandal, claims that he does not stand up to the prime minister, and divisions over climate change policy, but he said “as Nationals we are as one with” climate policy.\n\n'[Prime Minister] Scott [Morrison] and I agree with just about everything,' he said.\n\nMr McCormack told Sky News host Sharri Markson although there are growing doubts over his leadership, he is “not going anywhere”.\n\nImage: News Corp Australia M_McCormackMP He's the Member for Santos M_McCormackMP Well answered. Mr McCormack's confidence is growing, MSM reports his leadership is in trouble seem fake. Unless we are told who is making these claims, the reports do not mean much. In saying that when we are told who is making the claims they still might not mean much. M_McCormackMP More people in Northern Sydney that voted National.

Govt base ‘serious policy decisions’ on weather forecasts | Sky News AustraliaSky News host Chris Kenny says governments “base decisions such as water restrictions” partly on weather forecasts.\n\nMr Kenny said when it comes to climate policy “we are constantly hearing predictions and forecasts from the bureau” on which “we are supposed to base serious policy decisions”.\n\n“Back in early December this report in The Australian revealed how the Bureau of Meteorology had given federal [government] a drought briefing, saying there'd be no significant rain until April,” he said.\n\n“Some areas had their heaviest rain in decades, dams have filled, creeks and rivers have flooded and many have dared to dream that the drought might be breaking.\n\n“If you really want to know what's happening, stick your head out of the window.”\n\n\n\n Or perhaps serious publications like this which raise the issue of impact on water supplies. McKinsey or chris kenny? Weather forecast ...no probs Would a Crystal Ball be better Chris?

ABC ‘pump propaganda to rubbish the government and inflict misery’: Kenny | Sky News AustraliaSky News host Chris Kenny has criticised the ABC, saying the national broadcaster is using the taxpayers’ money to pump out “propaganda designed to make the government look bad and our country appear miserable”. \n\nThe Federal Government is preparing to evacuate about 200 Australians from the coronavirus-struck Diamond Princess cruise ship back to Darwin on Wednesday. \n\nWhile hundreds of Australians who were in quarantine on Christmas Island finally arrived home on Monday evening.\n\nMr Kenny the use of Christmas Island has been a “great option” to act as a quarantine centre.\n\nMr Kenny said the “usual suspects” lined up to criticise the government “and 'by extension their country” over this move. \n\n“Indeed, the ABC couldn't wait to run stories about how the China evacuees were unhappy with their conditions, how there was a cockroach … [and] slow internet speeds.\n\n“That's your taxes at work pumping out this propaganda, designed to make the government look bad and our country appear miserable”.\n\nImage: News Corp Australia Can someone please explain Cowardly Kenny that sometimes the truth hurts? ‘Wariness’ over coronavirus threat shouldn’t be interpreted as ‘racism’ in Australia | Sky News AustraliaSky News host Chris Kenny says there is a danger of sensationalising the coronavirus by media, pundits and politicians alike, who “instead of reporting the story, create the story”. \n\nMr Kenny said the coronavirus is an “epidemic [which] continues to be a fast-moving and dramatic story that is having an impact on this country and globally”. \n\nHe said while accurate and vigilant reporting of the virus is important, the media “need to be careful about creating panic and unnecessary alarm”. \n\n“Some politicians, activists and, it must be said, virtue-signalling journalists have been very eager to identify racism,” he said. \n\nIt comes as the Chief Medical Officer Brendan Murphy recently told Mr Kenny, “the reaction to the coronavirus had triggered racism in this country”.\n\nMr Kenny said “mainstream Australians” will take a “sensible” approach to this issue and the media shouldn’t misconstrue “wariness in society” over the virus as racism. \n\n“The danger in this situation is a familiar one: the media, instead of reporting the story, create the story, often on the back of anonymous social media reports, which in turn can be accepted as Gospel”. \n\nImage: Getty Help with treatment and immunization against the Coronavirus, (good for the face of God Almighty) _ putting the hand on the patient’s head and reading the verse of praise (the first verse in the Holy Qur’an), one condition faith in the words of God Almighty, not killing animals The Chinese government, lying, are not telling the truth. In China, more than a million people are infected with Corona virus, thousands of dead bodies in remote areas, it may spread in China epidemics, water pollution, cause infection to speed up, urgent measures must be taken, So like every story the MSM covers these days.

Axing of Holden is 'a day of great shame for Australia' | Sky News AustraliaSky News contributor Nicholas Reece says “I think it’s a day of great shame for Australia,” following Monday’s announcement General Motors will axe iconic brand Holden after 72 years of operation in the nation. \n\nGM International Operations Senior Vice President Julian Blissett released a statement explaining financial woes have led to the demise of Holden.\n\nThe shutdown is expected to cost at least 600 jobs as General Motors ceases making vehicles suitable for Australian roads. \n\nIt comes three years after local manufacturing ended when the Holden plant in Adelaide was closed. \n\n'It’s not just the end of a great Australian business but it’s the end of an era I think,' Mr Reece told Sky News host Peta Credlin. \n\nImage: Getty It was sad but inevitable. Ford wouldve gone the same way had it not come up with the ranger and fleet deals with the mondeo and fiesta/focus Thanks Joe! All Holden had to do was make a Car the us Aussies wanted to buy. Every business lives and dies by its bottom line. I liked the fact we tried to bale them out over many years. But the truth always catches up. GM never gave a shit about Australia. AND I just bought one, :(
