Sky News host Chris Kenny says taxpayer money is “funding misinformation” when it comes to the “overly ideological and habitually deceptive” Paul Barry on ABC show Media Watch.

“Barry is obsessed with promoting his alarmist views on global warming, and twisting the facts to attack any reporting that is not alarmist enough,” Mr Kenny said. “But more than anything, he is obsessed with spending taxpayers’ money attacking the commercial media that pays its own way, especially the owners of this station, News Corp.

” Mr Kenny pointed to analysis of Media Watch over the past 10 months, which reveals that “of almost 400 critical pieces, more than 50 per cent have been directed at News Corp – with Sky News his top target”. “He has misled audiences to attack this show, and create a false impression about what I’ve reported, he’s done the same to mischaracterise what Andrew Bolt has reported and so on.”

sophieelsworth Murdoch speak for ABC exposing & cutting through SKY BS

Has Chris ever noticed that Media Watch regularly calls out the ABC?

Sky News host Chris Kenny's job is literally peddling lies and misinformation

Quite simply Chris Kenny is complaining because Media Watch keeps catching him out!

sophieelsworth He’s right of course

Kenny is so bad he's getting fired. His opinion iw worthless.

Paul Barry should have been sacked ages ago.

Chris, funding misinformation is what your job is with sky. It's great that you are leaving sky, but as the saying goes 'good ridence to bad rubbish'

If it wasn’t for media watch, I wouldn’t even know who Chris Kenny was!

Paul Barry doesn’t comply with murdoch sky skullbuggery overlords views. Go well Paul. Your show is fecking awesome.

Hi Chris , I am a fan of your show and you are soooo spot on , what a waste of money is the ABC

Kenny and Barry are dogs from the same litter barking for their respective masters and neither raise the journalistic bar from the floor😎

The Media Watch is the best show to watch

Looks like someone has a glass jaw.

Well it's certainly not like Rupert Murdoch doesn't pay tax and that Chris Kenny and Skynews are basically running Liberal Party propaganda or anything...

'Overly ideological & habitually deceptive' - Chris Kenny really has a world class ability to self project his traits onto others.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Irony is dead.

Sky skullbuggery and propaganda says what ?

That’s because he makes kenny look like a complete idiot!!!!

Sky News host Chris Kenny says taxpayer money is “funding misinformation” when it comes to the “overly ideological and habitually deceptive” Chris Kenny on Sky News. - There fixed it for you Chris.

So when Tom Connell appeared on ABC's Media Watch showing segments where he praised for his 'masterclass in patience and persistence'... you are saying that was deceptive? Is it because he is better than you? Ep 20 - Tackling mistruths

I thought Chrissy retired from his comedy gig?

Lol. I love how CK and PB are having a go at each other. CK is an opinion show host and PB is a show about what various media reports. CK can't take a criticism like a red blooded male manly man. And PB doesn't care what CK says.

Why is Chris Kenny so obsessed with all things ABC? Is he not competent to come up with original stories and real news?

Little Chrissie says a lot of things, but most of it goes un noticed

MurdochGutterMedia MurdochRoyalCommission

And how much have we given your Gimp Owning Master

As we taxpayer is funding ABC, there should be a watchdog overseeing what is put on air to have a bipartisan approach to content and not one sided to push an agenda and also to stop reporting fake news. Or get rid of the damp channel and use that money for better use.

So private money is best for misinformation?

No sensible person takes any notice of what Chris Kenny says.

How do you know you are about to read bullshit? The sentence starts with 'Sky News host Chris Kenny says..'

The ABC remains the most trusted news source

Dave down the pub says Covid is a hoax and the Tigers will win the comp. We should get these two together. 👍

Chris Kenny ? Who is Chris Kenny

Media Watch is awesome. No surprise SkyNews hates it, given they feature so often with their casual relationship with actual journalism

Your have to watch it to be deceived by him.

I’ll give ratings out of 10 between you and Barry for trustworthy and knowledgeable of the subjects discussed - you 1.5, Barry 8 👍✅ He talks about current topics, like most Murdoch Zoo employees you love regurgitating the past, or issues that your masters direct u to talk about

Paul Barry living rent free in Chris Kenny's bowling ball. Kenny's only salty because Barry consistently points out the multitude of times Kenny gets it wrong.

I would suggest that there is a very good reason Newscorp features so prominently. And it’s nothing to do with bias.

'Panicked states, media hysteria and political pressure' pushed Berejiklian down 'lockdown path' | Sky News AustraliaSky News host Chris Kenny says despite restrictions in New South Wales working well, 'border closures by other panicked states, hysteria from the media, and political pressure' has pushed Premier Gladys Berejiklian to go down 'the lockdown path'.\n\n'Now as you know I have long praised the NSW response to this pandemic, and despite the current hysteria, the breathless media reporting, and the petty political point-scoring, the management of Gladys Berejiklian and her Chief Health Adviser Dr Kerry Chant remains head and shoulders ahead the rest of the country,' he said.\n\n'They have hosted most of the hotel quarantine caseload for this country; the only state doing its fair share of the heavy-lifting when it comes to getting Australians through quarantine and back home.\n\n'Four council areas covering the CBD and eastern suburbs of Sydney are under an effective lockdown now; although it's not a word that the premier wants to use.'\n\nMr Kenny said 'you can't lockdown and hide forever' given there have been 'no deaths in Australia this year, no one seriously ill and in hospital right now'. \n\n'But after six unnecessary and demonstrably ineffectual lockdowns across the country so far this year, Sydney is, unofficially, in the nation's 7th lockdown of the year, and no one seems to be enunciating a plan to end this madness,' he said.\n\n Nah its all the Covid, numbnuts. Rubbish Kenny you blonk. Gladys knows it’s the right path of action now, completely shitting herself that she will have another Ruby Princess type situation if she doesn’t take action. 'Gutless betrayal' by UON should deny them 'taxpayers' money': Alan Jones | Sky News AustraliaSky News host Alan Jones says PM Scott Morrison should grant 'no taxpayers' money' to the University of Newcastle for their 'gutless betrayal' to commitment to scholarship, independent thinking and free speech.\n\nThe remarks come after former Deputy Prime Minister Mark Vaile was 'forced to withdraw' from his offer of Chancellorship of the University amid backlash by members of staff who were reportedly dissatisfied with his appointment due to his association with the coal industry. \n\n'Mark Vaile, as a former Deputy Prime Minister has all the connections the University could want and he lives close by,' Mr Jones said.\n \n'He understands Newcastle's economic challenges. Newcastle is the world's largest coal export port. But an insignificant minority went apoplectic that Mr Vaile was Chairman of Whitehaven Coal.\n\n'But he also Chairs Palisade Investment Partners, which has a billion dollars invested in solar and wind power.\n\nMr Jones said Labor MP Joel Fitzgibbon was among those who came to Mr Vaile's defence, saying the activists were 'guilty of a new McCarthyism'.\n\n'What should the federal government do?,' Mr Jones said.\n\n'Simple. The Prime Minister should say, we're not telling Newcastle University what to do. They are supposed to be an independent institution.\n\n'But ... there will be no taxpayers' money whilever we have the gutless betrayal of one of the central tenets of University education, a commitment to scholarship, independent thinking and free speech. \n\n'Newcastle University should be told to go their own way and see how they manage without taxpayers' money.' Waaaaaaa, waaaaaaaa. Alan as a recent recipient of a PhD from the University of Newcastle in renewable energy and a resident of Mark Vailes former electorate of Lyne on the mid north coast of NSW I am disgusted in the U of Newcastle's decision. Honestly who do these Neanderthals think pays the bill We need independent scholarship, thinking and free speech!

PM: Albanese 'seeking to score points' by criticising Commonwealth's vaccine targets | Sky News AustraliaPrime Minister Scott Morrison says Anthony Albanese is playing political games by criticising the federal government’s vaccine targets, accusing the Opposition leader of seeking to “score points” on an important issue.\n\nModelling from the Department of Health forecasted the phasing out of the AstraZeneca jab by October with both Pfizer and Moderna to be prioritised as part of the vaccination program.\n\n“The rollout of the vaccination program is a very serious undertaking … and the mocking tone used by the Leader of the Opposition does him no credit,” the prime minister said.\n\n“All of this is just a political game to him, a political game; he comes here, seeking to score points on issues of great seriousness for the Australian people.\n\n“I would invite the Leader of the Opposition to support the operation being led by Lieutenant General Frewen and try to refrain from his usually snarky responses.”\n ScottMorrisonMP AlboMP Of course that’s what’s happening! It’s pure Labor diversion… supported by the states, especially Victoria. If it wasn’t so obvious, they might have just got away with it! ScottMorrisonMP AlboMP Let’s be honest labour hasn’t had any real policy since Medicare. All they’ve done for over 30 years is play the polls and win political points. Oh wait that’s both sides of politics. ScottMorrisonMP AlboMP Labor has to try and score point as they no policies and politicians with personality of a telephone dial tone.

Supreme Court rules in favour of students' free speech outside educational campuses | Sky News AustraliaA high schooler’s expletive-laden rant which saw her suspended from cheerleading has been protected by the Supreme Court in a case concerning one of America’s “most sacred Constitutional rights”, according to Sky News contributor Michael Ware.\n\n“She was off campus when she did it but the school still suspended her for a year from the cheerleading team so she took them to court,” he told Sky News. \n\nThe high schooler, then 14, did not make the cut for the team and went on a Snapchat tirade against her school, which circulated and saw her punished by her principal which the Supreme Court ruled was not something schools could regulate.\n\n“When it comes to students, schools are able to regulate some of their speech but the court found, certainly when they’re off campus and they’re just venting, even if it’s in terrible language as teenagers are wont to do, then that cannot be regulated by the school.”\n\n“The girl, who was then 14 and is now in college, f-bombed all the way up to the Supreme Court and the Supreme Court this morning issued its judgement in her favour.” Critical race theory does it again.
