The SSO has now paid Dunch an additional $75,000 in outstanding entitlements.

have filed their defences with the Federal Court in the lawsuit brought byDunch claims her termination breached the Fair Work Act and is claiming outstanding entitlements of $74,561 as well as loss of income, damages for anxiety, shock and distress, and for penalties to be imposed on the SSO and Wilson and made payable to her.

Dunch also claims that the SSO’s contraventions of the Fair Work Act by sacking her caused “significant damage to [her] future career prospects, particularly in the creative arts industry or as a company director for which [she] would otherwise be qualified and experienced”.

By that press release, the SSO says, Dunch “acted on the basis that her dismissal was a ‘hit job’ after seeking funding commitments from the NSW government”. As we’ve pointed out previously, Dunch has run two markedly dissonant explanations for her forced departure. Whether this logical swerve detracts from her legal argument remains to be seen.Connect with
