Australia could be facing national food shortages as a result of Victoria’s tough stage four lockdown, a major supermarket has reportedly warned Prime Minister ScottMorrisonMP. auspol COVID19

“So in regard to our food supply, we’re now being tested on that, but we’ll find ways around it. The governments around the country will find ways around it. We’ll work together to make sure food supplies still get through.”

Victorian Premier Dan Andrews has allowed the majority of meatworks, seafood processing facilities and fruit and vegetable wholesalers to remain open but at a reduced capacity that will impact supply. Meatworks in particular have been the site of multiple COVID-19 outbreaks as they have been across the world.“I can’t guarantee that every single product at exactly the volumes that you might like to buy will be there, but there will be enough for people to get what they need, not necessarily what they want, but what they need,” he said.

The Australian Meat Industry Council has raised concerns that any reduction in operations will naturally flow through to suppliers. “Overall it would move towards a 30 per cent reduction, give or take, in supply chain production, which would in turn lead to a reduction of saleable meat within the Victorian community, as well as a reduction in the opportunity for product to also be exported around the world,” meat industry council chief executive Patrick Hutchinson said.

ScottMorrisonMP I live in the US, but admin a seed/plant/ harvest swap group where we trade our surpluses. If you're not in an area with something like this, now would be the time to start one. Start restoring your soil in preparation of planting and connect with similar minds in your area.

News.con may cause some vulnerable Victorians to lose the plot if they see themselves essentially locked in their homes, their grocery store shelves empty, news.con saying there may be food shortages and they can't travel more than 5km to seek better conditions.

ScottMorrisonMP Bull shit

ScottMorrisonMP It's crazy. Like living in the blitz.

ScottMorrisonMP Australia produces enough food to feed 85 million people.

ScottMorrisonMP Australia has got enough food for 75 million.

Thanks for the report that encourages people to panic buy. Responsible click bait trash

ScottMorrisonMP THIS IS A PSYCHOLOGICAL FEAR TACTIC. They CLEARLY state 'COULD be' a food shortage. That DOESN'T mean THERE IS. The ONLY thing that will cause a food shortage, is how the brain-dead Victorian ZOMBIES react to this. And as evidence proves, most VICTORIANS are now retarded.

ScottMorrisonMP The reporter should be arrested

ScottMorrisonMP Stop creating panic. There's plenty of food on the shelf

ScottMorrisonMP Maybe Twitter should ban News for fake reporting

ScottMorrisonMP Media wants panic among society. They want looters and riots so they can get stories.

ScottMorrisonMP

ScottMorrisonMP

ScottMorrisonMP Here we go again more panic/scare mongering by the news

ScottMorrisonMP I can only assume Rupert Murdoch has shares in Coles Group Limited and Woolworths Limited, to print this rubbish to ensure a shopping frenzy so he can make a few bucks. Australia exports 60% of its agricultural products. There will not be a food crisis here, stop spreading fear!

ScottMorrisonMP Fear

ScottMorrisonMP Crisis Management at its best. Congratulations for the amazing job Scomo and Dictator Dan.

ScottMorrisonMP Time for the Feds to step in and put Vic Government into administration until next election

ScottMorrisonMP Masks don't work, now they are the panacea. Morrison was recommending everyone to join him at the football, the football got cancelled. The authorities applauded BLM marches, sharp rebound in Cov and now they slap fines on those without jobs. They said supply chains are safe...

ScottMorrisonMP STOP FEAR MONGERING FFS

ScottMorrisonMP How can this be? From or Australian Agricultural Website - “We are able to export more than half of our agricultural produce, while more than 90 per cent of fresh fruit and vegetables, meat, milk and eggs sold in supermarkets are domestically produced!”

ScottMorrisonMP So Victoria is now responsible for Australia starving...fuck off

ScottMorrisonMP Flake Curry, anyone? 🦈🥣😋

ScottMorrisonMP Maybe there's a limit as to how much of the economy you can shutdown before it becomes impractical? Hint, hint MSM journos theprojecttv abcnews

ScottMorrisonMP People need to stop being greedy, buy only what you need

aware_now ScottMorrisonMP Australia's approach to COVID19 is anal

ScottMorrisonMP Hysteria.

ScottMorrisonMP Another thing to thank Comrade Dan for

ScottMorrisonMP fakenews Again, the mainstream media outlets driving societies lunatics to act selfishly.

ScottMorrisonMP Here we go News creating a panic buying situation then show all the empty shelves perpetuating their faux news. Which major supermarket? Why would it create food shortages nationwide? The only reason there would be is because of your reckless reporting. News an absolute disgrace.

ScottMorrisonMP I thought we had enough food that there wasn’t gonna be a shortage. ..by the same token, STOP PANIC BUYING!

ScottMorrisonMP Thats the way to scare the entire country into a buying frenzy. More media sensationalism. Idiots !!!

ScottMorrisonMP Didn’t reps from both Supermarkets say on radio yesterday that we won’t run out of food? I guess “country DOESNT run out of food” isn’t as good a headline?!?!

ScottMorrisonMP So the government that works for us is now creating a famine in Australia in 2020!?! When people get hungry the gov will absolutely be held accountable, and it will be ugly. Mark my words
