Australia Headlines News

Now is the time to “get this country back to work” as every day a business is closed is “another day closer to liquidation,” according to Sky News host Chris Kenny.

“This is a very important week, it’s when we need to see the biggest relaxation in coronavirus social distancing measures”. Prime Minister Scott Morrison has indicated on Friday the National Cabinet will relaxat of some of the country’s strict social distancing measures, largely dependent on the national uptake of the government’s COVIDSafe application.

Mr Kenny said the country has “not even gone close to overwhelming our health system” and are way ahead of where the government feared we may be in tacking this deadly virus. “That means many of the measures should be eased,” he said. “But National Cabinet meets tomorrow and again on Friday, with promises we will see some relaxation … this must happen, those businesses need help, they need hope”.

No, but he is that drunk uncle who knows what he knows and knows the solution to every problem known to mankind. Often wonder, why, given his obvious superior intelligence he has never been appointed PM of Australia.

Every day businesses are closed it kills jobs. Every day we go back to work too early it kills people. What is your choice? auspol

cloverdime1 Kenny is a Murdoch puppet and is quite willing to risk people's lives so that his boss will stop haemorrhaging Money from his businesses here. Scum.

They keep saying this. We went to our local shopping mall yesterday, 90% of the shops are now open. 'without' the App. btw.

It beggars belief that there are Australians who are stupid enough to believe the dog shit that gushes from this cretin's foul maw. Surely we can use their subscriptions to track them, round them up, and send them to live as Trumpanzees in Kentucky or Texarse?

Just because the virus didn’t get Chris Kenny, didn’t mean other people has too.

Why didn't these businesses buy less smashed avo and coffee and put some money away for an emergency? They should just get a better job and pull themselves up by their bootstraps

Guess who else suffers: people who contract Covid.

Is he still here?

Can Chris Kenny please be liquidated?

Says man with full time employment who sits metres from everyone in a tv studio.

Sorry Sky News. I know you have to pay his salary but no-one outside your neo-con bubble gives a shit about anything Chris Kenny thinks.

This from the man that reckoned Trump “was on to something” with his injecting disinfectant idea. Until such time as Chris shows his qualifications in economics or epidemiology I think I will ignore him.

Sky News, the place political hacks go to die.

Appalled that you’re still allowed to pass yourself off as a newspaper instead of LNP newsletter. MurdochCancer

Well when uncle Rupert is bank rolling your show there's not much to worry about

For goodness sake, so dramatic, I prefer safety first, I want to be alive in 5 minutes, 5 months, 5 years. I’m backing Dan Andrews.

Chris Kenny, standing up for our God given right to make $$$$. Screw ur of a few people die. Will he be first at the pub or police machine?

Well yes, but you forgot to mention that Chris Kenny is a monumental idiot and should be comprehensively ignored literally all of the time.

All the nutters still think they are going to die.

Every day we stay isolated is a day closer to eliminating the virus and being able to open the economy again. Every day Chris Kenny wants to open the country sooner than that is hundreds or thousands of people who could die.

And for older Australians every day that ignorant opinionistas like Kenny promote the easing of restrictions is ' another day closer to liquidation '.

Now is the time to “get Chris Kenny off the air” as literally millions upon millions of Australians “couldn’t give a blind fuck what he’s got to say” according to Literally Millions Upon Millions of Australians.

FFS opening up stores doesn’t mean they’ll thrive. Where are the buyers Liquidation will always be a risk until we get a vaccine.

Since Kenny isn't a epidemiologist or economist or part of the business councils that actually supported these measures in the first place - no one cares about his ideologically motivated nonsense.

sure, depending on the advice of epidemiologists. Not Chris Kenny who has had over 2 months of stupid wrong bad takes on Covid-19 behind him.

according to people that know what they're talking about until this virus is under control every day a business is closed is a lot less human beings dying

If this has shown me anything it’s that consumerism sucks and I won’t be out spending my money. We are not the economy we are people and I don’t exist to make billionaires richer.

Does he have a degree in public health, medicine, or even a science? No? STFU then.
