Exclusive: Rugby league television personalities Bryan Fletcher and Paul Kent have inadvertently become entangled in the NRL's Dally M betting scandal

Rugby league television personalities Bryan Fletcher and Paul Kent have inadvertently become entangled in the NRL's Dally M betting scandal.

According to police facts, Wilson told the NRL integrity unit soon after the awards night that he had made a “stupid mistake” and admitted he had passed on information to mates at an eastern suburbs pub shortly after sending off the results to the NRL. There is no suggestion Fletcher and Kent had any connection to the StatEdge pair or had prior knowledge that Bellamy would win the award when they placed the bets.on Wednesday, nor did Fox Sports head of television Steve Crawley by the time of publishing.

While the winners of the player awards including the Dally M medal itself are determined by polling on each game and accumulate through the season, the coach's award is judged after the regular season by a panel of 24 prominent former players on a 3-2-1 basis.

Well surprise surprise. Paul kent is a hypocrite. He should be banished from his job. It's an inside job everyday of the week.

We can look forward to the media sweeping this under the carpet, like they did the James Hooper incident. They look after their own but badger everyone else relentlessly. Kent, Hooper, Buzz etc all lack credibility considering their histories.

Wish I was in on it. 💰

Fox sports need to stand these two down, not because of this betting scandal but they're both bloody annoying!

'Personalities'? WTF

Inadvertently? What a rubbish journo !

Call in Buzz

Depends how much they had on. Was it novelty or did they bet chips in.

So two lads bet on Bellamy to win coach of the year after he had won the league? The fact they were still giving generous odds says the lot and I’m pissed I didn’t get on it myself

Why doesn’t James Hooper do a story about this and the hound them for the next month when he thinks he is right.

It’s a bit like having inside information that Winx was going to win.

interesting

If you allow betting on something determined by a judging panel you’re bound to be strung a few times. They’d be no investigation if they’d lost would there?

NRL, never heard of her.

One thing Daly M medal has never had is integrity

Kent isn't the right spelling.

ReadingThePlay If you have a spare investigative journo, might be worth looking into the Tedesco, Smith, Moses trifecta betting market. Moses polled 3 votes in the final round with 5 runs, 32m, 0 try assists, 0 line breaks, 0 line break assists, 7 MISSED tackles and finished 3rd.

'Inadvertently'

ReadingThePlay The byline 😏

Call the uber driver

ReadingThePlay Wow. I thought Kent Fletcher Dally M betting story would have been Persian rugged.
