A 'shell-shocked' Brent Naden was on Saturday weighing up whether to lodge a formal complaint with police as the NRL threatened lengthy bans for the eight drunken spectators who allegedly racially abused him

has been told by sources at Penrith that the vitriol directed at Naden included a reference to his famous cousin and former fugitive Malcolm Naden.Former Warrior and now Bronco Issac Luke retweeted video footage of the alleged culprits as they were being escorted from the venue by police, where they are seen to mock traditional Indigenous dancing.

'We will take whatever action we deem necessary to make sure that those fans who have proven to have acted this way are not able to attend our games.'"Things like this don't happen often, but they should never happen. I would like to commend the actions of Brent Naden, who in this case was brave in making people aware of what occurred.

Winger Josh Mansour took to Instagram in defence of Naden, writing: "Enough is enough – they'll get what's coming". Halfback Nathan Cleary added: "WTF is wrong with some people".
