3 minutes agoFinance Minister Simon Birmingham says he was critical of “extremist” comments made by Queensland Chief Health Officer Jeannette Young regarding AstraZeneca.Dr Young earlier advised against people under 40 receiving the AstraZeneca jab. ATAGI has since advised those in affected areas such as Sydney to consider the vaccine.
“I think it is important that health officers always adopt a calm, measured response and point to the facts of the advice,” Mr Birmingham told Sky News Australia.“That is quite disappointing. You do see clear advice there in the sense that ATAGI is encouraging people to look at the option of AstraZeneca as well.
“In the end, we can see in the Sydney situation that it is far better for individuals if they have the access to the vaccine to get vaccinated.” Read more: Sky News Australia »

His grandparents need the jab first. It doesn’t stop transmission. It stops serious illness. This reporting will give ppl a false sense of security. If people only did their research they would think twice about getting the jab!!
