Scott Morrison has revealed he is praying for the state and territory leaders during the coronavirus pandemic, describing the crisis as a time of "great need and suffering" in an online video.

He said his decisions were based on "very strong advice and expertise" and "the best judgment I can", but his faith gives him "enormous encouragement" in how he makes those decisions and tries to do the best way he can."The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; and saves those who are crushed in spirit," he said.
