In less developed countries, a large share of food spoils before it reaches the market because of inefficient supply chains.

Producing all that wasted food used around 3.6 million hectares of land, 180 gigalitres of water, and generated 1 million tonnes of greenhouse gases. But Carey says much more could be done, especially by major supermarkets, to reduce food waste before it reaches Australian consumers.

Medical equipment no longer needed in country NSW is now helping save lives in IraqDecommissioned humidicribs from regional New South Wales hospitals are being returned to service to help save lives in northern Iraq. This is good but an obvious observation: If the equipment is serviceable and usable elsewhere then it is also still serviceable and usable here.
