Broadcaster AlanJones says ScottMorrisonMP and AlboMP must “step up” with bipartisan support and work as one to fight “the monster” of nature that has consumed the country’s heartland. RichoandJones

Sky News host Alan Jones says rural Australia is “on its knees” with “no financial muscle left to fight back” unlike anything seen to date as locals face drought, dust storms and bushfires. “Dust storms are metaphorically the tears of the bush, blowing the wind,” Mr Jones said.

The broadcaster has called upon Prime Minister Scott Morrison to declare a national disaster and to “apply all the nation’s resources to saving rural Australia before it is too late”. He said Mr Morrison and Opposition Leader Anthony Albanese must “step up” with bipartisan support and work as one to fight “the monster” of nature that has consumed the country’s heartland. “This is a war situation, only this time nature has declared war on us all,” Mr Jones said.

AlanJones ScottMorrisonMP AlboMP Reason - decades of failure by successive governments to develop a sustainable water management plan and build water reserves and pipelines. Failure to prevent water investors holding reserves. Kalgoorlie pipeline of 1920’s shows what is needed !

AlanJones ScottMorrisonMP AlboMP More talk, no dams. It will rain again and we must be prepared for it or just build these and a canal system.

AlanJones ScottMorrisonMP AlboMP albanese blocked the farmers drought fighting fund he doesn't acknowledge the National Water Grid labor bite the farmers hand that feeds them

AlanJones ScottMorrisonMP AlboMP If this was another country our politicians would be falling over themselves to get on tv and give money away to them if it happens in Australia you listen to what the ding batts talk about while Australia burns

AlanJones ScottMorrisonMP AlboMP And no water, where are the dams they keep promising.

AlanJones ScottMorrisonMP AlboMP we fought nature once before n lost to the emus

AlanJones ScottMorrisonMP AlboMP How about the LNP use the Future Drought Fund? It's $3.9bn, announced in this years budget, made law in July, none of which gets released till 1 July 2020. They're the fucken Govt. Up to those penny pinching tossers to solve the problem. Also, take action on climate change.

AlanJones ScottMorrisonMP AlboMP Hmm. You keep telling us that climate change is a fraud. The LNP are in government, who also deny man made climate change exists, whilst the ALP went to the last election with a plan. So why is Albo responsible again? The country areas voted for this government, blame them.

AlanJones ScottMorrisonMP AlboMP The LNP can't get it's party together on the ClimateCrisis - how's it going to get 'bipartisan support' ? Auspol

AlanJones ScottMorrisonMP AlboMP AlanJones needs to step down after his delusional commentary for Coconut price. His own issues relating to boys is another reason why should drop him.

AlanJones ScottMorrisonMP AlboMP if only we had, say, $80m to help out our struggling farmers... oh bugger, some dipshit grifting mob in federal government gave it to a shell company in the tax-haven of The Cayman Islands

AlanJones ScottMorrisonMP AlboMP We don’t listen to him anymore thanks
