The scam has triggered multiple ongoing investigations in Australia, with corporate watchdog ASIC confirming "some are at an advanced stage".Police officers watch over call centre staff during the raid. "There was two guys, I was dealing with Justin and Justin was basically talking us into it, and then Michael was the fella who was the financial guy."Mr Wade already had a self-managed super fund and was looking for better returns."It looked fairly interesting. He sort of let me sort of sit on it for a couple of days, so there was never any pressure about it," Mr Wade said.

Foreign call centre raided over alleged links to scam tricking Australians out of superannuationA call centre in the Philippines is being investigated over multi-million-dollar superannuation scams which saw a number of Australians lose their retirement savings. Golden rule. When dealing with large sums of your own money never do any type of transaction over the phone. Face-to-face appointments only. It should be obvious but obviously not?💸 The punishments for the callers is too weak. Lock them in solitary with bread and water until the funds are located and king pins caught. Pulling out their finger nails is too cruel, apparently. Another reason to move call centres to western countries! The banks and other can afford it!!
