Health authorities remain concerned about the 36-year-old Uber driver tested positive to COVID-19 on Wednesday, marking the first local infection in the Sunshine State in two weeks. His entry back into Queensland is still being investigated by police.
The 36-year-old, who had not used the QR code tracking system since September 18, is so sick, authorities are struggling to communicate with him. "Today is the day where you need to come out and get tested," Chief Health Officer Jeannette Young told reporters on Thursday. "And please don't wait like this poor gentleman has, that he's so breathless he can hardly talk to us."
