I think this is stupid and putting areas with less health facilities at risk of an outbreak. So let’s keep the city folk happy and screw over regional areas. You are never going to get rid of the virus!! People need to learn to live with it. They’re safer in the city.
Why, it shouldve been outback quarantine in all states from the beginning. It would be easier to control those in quarantine, the further away from cities that they were. The lower the surrounding population the less risk if it gets out.
So it is incumbent on the Queensland LNP Opposition to demand the closure of hotel quarantine because it has threatened the safety of Brisbane.

Wouldn't it have been logical from the very start to have remote quarantine for obvious reasons. Bringing people with potentially highly infectious viruses into heavily populated cities would not be a wise decision. Did we not learn from history lessons ?

Rubbish. Much riskier to Quarantine in pooulated cities. It's much safer for the country for them to be in isolated areas. Howard Springs is doing just fine with their Quarantine. This could be spreading between floors via air-con. in Hotels, another reason to move out of hotels.
