Ms Palaszczuk indicated she had not yet ruled out easing the border measures early as the Sunshine State prepares to hit its 80 per cent double-dose vaccination coverage milestone ahead of schedule.
“We’ll have updated figures which will show when we’re expected to hit that 80 per cent , so we’ll be very closely watching those numbers,” she said on Sunday. The travellers will not have to self-isolate but must be fully vaccinated and receive a negative PCR test 72 hours before arriving into Queensland.
She said it was “good news” before hitting out at the Morrison Government for its treatment of her when she called for a plan to vaccinate young children back in September.
