Under the current agreement, Qantas International crew are limited to working on a specific model of aircraft: Airbus A330s only, or on Airbus A380s and Boeing 787s only.Under the current agreement, Qantas International crew are limited to working on a specific model of aircraft.

CEO of Qantas International Andrew David said terminating the deal was "the last thing" the business wanted, but they were "stuck between a rock and a hard place". Mr David accused the union of "misrepresenting facts" and said termination of the agreement would see affected crew revert to the modern award while a new agreement is negotiated.
