Qantas looks at smartphone app for COVID-19 'vaccine passport' | pwhatch rachelclun JoshDye91

Based around a smartphone app, IATA's Travel Pass provides passengers with information about the testing or vaccination requirements in the country they are travelling to and where locally they can receive those tests or vaccinations from verified providers.

American carrier United Airlines is trialing an alternative system called CommonPass app, which was developed by the World Economic Forum, on flights between London and New York. Hong Kong and Singapore are considering using the same app when they establish a "travel bubble". "We’ve spent so much effort to reduce local transmission, if we’re not careful and considerate of how we travel and inadvertently bring something back into Australia, what have all those [public health] efforts been spent on to risk that again?" she said.

pwhatch rachelclun JoshDye91 I know China can do no right for some, as shown in this article, but judge the idea based on its own merit. It's a good thing.

pwhatch rachelclun JoshDye91 So does this mean 'No vaccine No international travel'?

pwhatch rachelclun JoshDye91 So you want me go turn it on now

pwhatch rachelclun JoshDye91 Please do not give your children this rushed and experimental 'vaccine'.

pwhatch rachelclun JoshDye91 evil little creetin that man is he can shove his smart ph app over a false virus. boycott his airline how dare he try to force people into a choice re vaccination if they want to fly on his qantas airline .. where is the consumer rights people on this.?

pwhatch rachelclun JoshDye91 Uh, the vaccine only prevents COVID-19 symptoms. It does not prevent you from catching and carrying the SARS-Cov-2 virus and infecting someone else, clueless clowns.

pwhatch rachelclun JoshDye91 Blockchain? This is a serious suggestion from me - store the underlying hashes denoting vaccination status on a distributed ledger-based architecture

pwhatch rachelclun JoshDye91 PM: “The risk of being on a plane, it is very low, it is very low, the issue is not being on the plane.” 🤔 and schools are safe right 🙄auspol

pwhatch rachelclun JoshDye91 What an arsehole.

pwhatch rachelclun JoshDye91 Do Qantas know about this vaccine?

pwhatch rachelclun JoshDye91 Find I still have several of those yellow health 'passports ' from the Fifties, Sixties, Seventies,Eighties,Nineties, which showed which vaccinations one had, and when. Not least smallpox. Also TB. Cholera. Essential for international travel.

pwhatch rachelclun JoshDye91 Perhaps GregHuntMP could ask his colleague the Home Affairs Minister how vaccinated and non-vaccinated incoming passengers will be identified and differentiated at ports of entry

pwhatch rachelclun JoshDye91 Another app..

pwhatch rachelclun JoshDye91 What vaccine? I think you’re jumping the gun, sunshine!

pwhatch rachelclun JoshDye91 Don’t ask the fed gov advice on where to get one made.

pwhatch rachelclun JoshDye91 Hope His Airline Sinks.

pwhatch rachelclun JoshDye91 :( They are smooth criminals no prison is prepared for them.

pwhatch rachelclun JoshDye91 Are they handing out smartphones too?

Qantas employee contracts COVID-19 | Sky News AustraliaQantas is investigating how a cabin crew member contracted COVID-19 after returning to Australia on a repatriation flight from France.\n\nThe employee arrived in Darwin on flight QF176 from Paris on Thursday last week before he travelled as a passenger on a flight to Sydney the next day.\n How do they think it bloody happened 😳🤕💊😷 FFS Fuk Must of got it checking the Oil Level on the plane. HTF do you think they got it.. One technically cannot “contract” Covid 19. One can contract the virus Sars Cov 2, then you have a very small likelihood of becoming ill with Covid 19, the sickness. Just one more example of concept creep from catastrophist govts, never questioned by the media. Lazy... or worse.

Qantas trialling COVID-19 vaccine passportsIt appears Qantas is following through on its promise to require international travellers to be vaccinated against COVID-19, with the airline already trialling new vaccine passports. Yes but Australia is vaccinating with AstraZeneca which has no efficacy protecting against the Sth African strain. Can someone explain to me what use this passport will have flying to and from Johannesburg? The CEO of Rainbow Airways can go take a flying leap😆 Still in trial stages, no mediums to long term data.
