'Proud of the life we have': Palaszczuk responds to fresh border criticism

Annastacia Palaszczuk says she is"pretty proud of the life we have in Queensland" as she hit back at fresh criticism from Deputy Prime Minister Barnaby Joyce about her border stance.

"That's going to depend on the modelling and our discussions at National Cabinet this weekend," she said on Monday. Mr Joyce on Monday claimed Ms Palaszczuk had decided"that she knows better than the Doherty Institute" after she walked back support of national reopening plans. But on Monday, Ms Palaszczuk said she was keen for families to be reunited with loved ones overseas.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Scott Morrison has indicated overseas travel could happen"well before" Christmas. "In our older population, those rates are already much higher, over ninety per cent, and, so, with the vaccines, that is improving our resilience, and we'll be able to open up those borders."

I suppose it is something to be proud of to deny people access to dying loved ones, new born family members, grandchildren, children because you are power & control hungry.

Queensland is part is Australia, it can’t seperate its self from rest of Australia for selfish reasons. Same thing applies to all other states.

People in the Covid states want their “freedoms”, but are very bitchy about QLDers enjoying normal life, something that QLD has achieved with just a couple of short sharp lockdowns.
