Sky News host Chris Kenny says free speech is 'not about selecting what you want others to say, it is not about choosing sides, but it is about free speech as a principle”. KennyOnMedia

Sky News host Chris Kenny says free speech is "not about selecting what you want others to say, it is not about choosing sides, but it is about free speech as a principle”. The comments came after Prime Minister Scott Morrison threw his support behind a firefighter who criticised him at the height of the bushfire crisis.

Mr Kenny said free speech will “always be an issue,” but “when private citizens air their own views, they should seldom be sanctioned”. Paul Parker claimed he was removed from duty after he was filmed launching an expletive-laden rant at the prime minister on January 25. “Now this bloke dined out on this spray, fair enough, many would disagree with him,” he said. “There were reports yesterday that he had been dumped by the NSW rural fire service and the anti-Scott Morrison media were up in arms.

Funny how Free Speech Warriors like Chris Kenny are never about when free Speech is Actually under threat. Funny how Free Speech Warriors like Chris Kenny are always in the corner of those trying to prevent Free Speech. More Virtue Signalling?

Freedom of speech is a very important principle that we must seek to uphold but there are consequences for overstepping its boundaries albeit its limitations are always in flux

Kenny doesn’t believe in free speech though does he. That ❄️ got pretty litigious when a comedy show make a joke about him. 🐕

I agree, though none of us can do it at WORK so some decorum is needed

This has got nothing to do with discussions over free speech. Goodness gracious!
