One more step towards a big brother society
I uninstalled it the moment that the infection rates increased. What’s the point of a damn app if Chinese labor party donors get a free pass to continue working and creating a spike in the community
'Protected by legislation' is the promise on TV and radio adds, yet those security measures set to protect us have not been agreed to by state governments. Almost 5 millions downloads based on fake promises.
Security can be breached. Hence the big penalties. Something like a swim at the beach when bait fish are schooling. Sort of safe until the sharks arrive. If we are forced... I wonder how many Bluetooth antennas will suddenly 'stop' working.
I thought it was so safe that no one could access data.
You'd need to prove it was used & misused, in the meantime a lot of harm can be done. Same with foreign companies which hold financial data on Aust citizens, who as a result are locked out of participation in the economy. USA's corporate nanny state infiltration of Aust corps.
That sure makes me want to install the app, in fact it just made up my mind. Hell no!
Penalties for an app that doesn’t yet work, and for an initiative that has not been legislated? Many carts before many horses in this instance.
Does that include politicians, police and spy agencies?

United States and Communist China ‘set to face off’ on COVID-19 investigations | Sky News AustraliaTensions are set to become inflamed between Washington and Beijing which simply denotes communist China must “come clean (and) admit the source of the virus” and allow an independent investigation to take place says Sky News host Chris Kenny. \n\nUS Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has recently produced a scathing assessment of China and its questionable practices in the field of medical research, stating the communist superpower had a history of 'infecting the world' and 'running sub-standard laboratories'.\n\nHe also claimed there was a 'significant amount of evidence' COVID-19 originated from a Chinese lab and not wet markets from Wuhan. \n\n“We need more international pressure on China, and now in the US, the secretary of state has gone a step further than supporting an investigation,” Mr Kenny said. \n\nMr Kenny said China has engaged in “nasty, threatening and over the top reactions to all of this” as calls for an independent investigation into the pandemic continue to amplify. \n\nImage: AP Sky news is repulsive. I really hope you go bankrupt. When start blaming somebody all you are doing is highlighting your own deficiencies. If it was a financial thing thing then we should start suing the US for the GFC. I'm just wonderinghhow would the today's world leaders respond to the pandemic if it happened in Soviet Union under LeonidBrezhnev?

COVID-19 could to be lurking within community for 'up to' two years | Sky News AustraliaA leading professor of microbiology has warned Australians are going to have to be on their guard for the foreseeable future since COVID-19 will be lurking within the community for at least 'the next six months to two years.'\n\nInfectious Diseases Physician Professor Peter Collignon told Sky News said the key to keeping COVID-19 manageable is stopping 'droplet transmission.'\n\n'This is mainly spread by droplets, people who have got mild infections, coughing or sneezing, touching their hands and contaminating surfaces,' he said.\n\n'We are going to have to work out how we stop what we stop droplet transmission and that is actually washing our hands, keeping 1.5 metres away from each other as much as possible.\n\n'By doing that we are really decreasing the risk so it is very low.'\n\nAustralia has been extremely successful at flattening the rate of infection, with only 18 confirmed cases of COVID-19 across the nation on Sunday the 3rd of May.\n\nThere are now only 878 active cases across Australia.\n\nHe said while there will likely be a second wave of transmission in winter, Professor Collignon said it will likely be a 'ripple instead of a tsunami.'\n\n'It is likely in winter we will see more cases than we see now,' he said.\n\n'We know what we have to do to stop this spreading, and so if we get a second wave, if we keep on doing what we are doing, we can make it a little ripple and not a tsunami.\n\n'While we will have clusters, and we will have some spread, we will be able to keep it under control and not be anything like we are seeing on television.\n\n'We will be much closer to Korea than we will be to New York.'\n\n\n CollignonPeter I reckon everyone is so well aware as there are experts popping up everywhere 24/7 telling us. CollignonPeter bullshit CollignonPeter How long will China be lurking for?
