Prime Minister Scott Morrison has delivered a blistering attack on Labor for engaging in “fearmongering” about COVID-19 support payments.

“Regrettably the labor party has engaged in fearmongering during a pandemic and I think this is disgraceful,” he said. “They are saying things that are blatantly untrue. “I’ve made it very clear there would be a further stage of income support and to make people feel more uncertain in this climate I think is disgraceful and I think it reflects badly on their leadership.

” Mr Morrison was referring to a new campaign by Labor party claiming the Coalition would axe JobSeeker and JobKeeper payments in September. Labor leader Anthony Albanese said axing the payments would “devastate” the economy. “We are talking about…$45 million a fortnight being ripped out of this local community,” he said. “Think about what that does to the local community; think about the flow on impact it has for jobs.

What a beautiful piece of propaganda. My news agencies could learn alot off you people.

Well that’s the pot calling the kettle- ScoMo has done nothing but create fear by continually saying China is a threat to Australian National Security

Mr PM, Why the double standered? If you consider that the Labor leaders causing fearmonering, what about the systemic and viscous attack on our state government by your friends in Victoria and your supporting media (sky news). Would you care to comment?

we only have his spending on bushfires to go by. hey, how about you guys cover the people still living in cars and tents. or anything newsworthy. see if you can.

“I’ve made it very clear there would be a further stage of income support” Really? Did you? Really?

Lol each-way Albo, will blame try to lay blame for bringing the scheme to an end and if its extended lay blame for the spend.

The ALP are irrelevant! Ignore!

Just like , Morrison has ZERO credibility.

Fearmongering... Not at all hypocritical. Which party has instilled fear for the last decade? Liberals. You know with the 'refugee' and 'African gang' problems.

Typical Labor. How many times have we heard the government say there working on supporting those who need it even after Jobkeeper is to expire. But Labor just keep telling lies and trying to frighten people. Remember the Medicare bullshit. Same horse different jockey.

Let’s see what happens when these payments end . The economic destruction will be very raw . Let’s see how people feel about risk assessment then .

As Morrison bolts, on the last school bell, to indulge in a holiday. Meanwhile, the treasury report recommending future stimulus measures gathers dust on his office desk. But...ahh...what’s a couple of weeks...the serfs can wait! Now that IS offensive to the nation! auspol

Electric field that tic the skin, accelerated my heart, troubled my vision..... Stopped at the moment I putted out the battery from the Mobil! And I ask you, can put out battery from your mobile today?

He can go & get well & truly fucked. What a disgraceful display from our PM. He is unfit for the Office. Who does he think he is attacking Labor like that when he is the leader of the most corrupt Govt in our history? Petty, nasty, vindictive arsehole. 😠😠😠😠😠

And the panic created by the I'll informed media

'blistering attack' ... you mean 'shitting on people' again.

oh please !we must have watched a different clip. it was like a slap with the proverbial wet lettuce. he rarely looked at the camera and his eyes were everywhere mostly at the lectern. if you are admonishing anyone look at them directly in the eye or camera or don't bother

time to quit as pm ScottMorrisonMP , you're clearly not up to the job!!

Oh FFS, AustralianLabor are just asking, on behalf of the thousands of workers, if their COVID19 support payments will be extended. 🙄

Isn't Scomo leaving his post during this crisis like he did during the AustralianFires? Murdoch is doing a terrific job at attacking Mr. Andrews who's doing a terrific job by the way. Yet you give the Liberals who are up to their necks in rorts a free ride. Not journalism.

And after lying about the ALP the cowardlyPM runs away yet again.

Why not blame it on arsonists, Scotty?

He should be providing better information. People are really struggling, and he's not making a decision until the end of the month? Unacceptable.

He doesn’t care. He’s going on holidays.

Why doesn't the PM just answer the question duh!

Haha haha fear mongering about the payments. What about the fear mongering about the plan demic?

DBreban The supplement was originally scheduled to end on September 24th. This isn't fear-mongering. If Morrison has now decided not to rip this money away from more than 2 million Australians, then good!

Playing the blame game again. does he know that sadly his Government is in charge. not Labor. what a moron. just never ends with him, everybody's fault but him. he even blames people for being out of work when there are no jobs.

God I hate this propaganda machine, and the PM who jumps on it whenever he feels the need.

How about this LNP mob have now said the NBN has been completed. It's now a complete and utter stuff up and it appears the LNP don't to want to fix it up

Delivered a blistering attack and then runs away and hides until the middle of next week at the earliest.

MurdochRoyalCommission MediaReform propaganda

What tha? Morrison attacks on Labor for engaging in fearmongering about COVID-19 support payments. Hmm Didn't I hear him last week saying Australians are refusing to work because the doubled dole payment of $550-a-week is too generous. Scotty that sounds like fearmongering !!

Save that billion dollar on missiles all problems solved.

But he's going on a family holiday?

Have they ever done anything else?

IStandWithDan

NotJournalism

hello. ask him questions.

July 23 he said that a while ago .

ScottyFromMarketing would never engage in fearmongering or say things that were blatantly untrue. Spare me! auspol

Then tell us so we can prepare

SkyIsNotNews

Oh wow ScottMorrisonMP talk about the pot calling the kettle black and no need to try for the moral highground. It isn't yours

😂 ScottyFromMarketing can hardly lecture others about fear mongering.

LOL Morrison has a long history of announcing but never delivering.

boycottmurdoch boycottnewscorp

Weak as piss if that’s all he’s got. Weakest prime minister this country has ever had.

Blistering attack from the holiday Airbnb with Jen and the kids, whilst making a curry

Slomo has no credibility

Labor are in OPPOSITION... they are doing there job... Holding our CrimeMinister ScottMorrisonMP to account! First he says he is stopping assistance, then he says he is doing some support..Can't believe anything he says! Labor questions because our biased media are too scared!

SocialistScotty the biggest FUK-UP in AUSTRALIA'S HISTORY

I had to do a double take, I thought he was referring to the fear mongering by the Right Wing Media and politicians, towards Dan Andrews. But as usual it’s justblameLabor...

Hey ScottMorrisonMP get this upya ya FUCKTARD

What a load of rubbish! Great headline SkyNews but little substance when you listen. This PM is full of it! We have refugees locked up and a very young Australian girl incarcerated on Christmas Island. This gov should be ashamed, I am!

Fuck off ScottMorrisonMP. It's called seeing a cliff ahead and asking the blind driver to avoid going over it. Fearmongering- Carbon Tax African gangs Boat people Franking credits Same sex marriage

Geopolitically Australia has every reason to do that, pull the trigger sooner rather than later.

With Hong Kong now being a very different place directly ruled by the CCP’s terms, the world need to establish shelters both legally and physically to harbour the Hong Kong residents.

I am on jobseeker, I have planned for it to go back to the pre pandemic amount in September as stated in March. What is the big deal, if it goes for longer so be it, we will see in September. In March I complemented the ALP for being bipartisan, now they are being dicks.

Typical Labor. All doom and gloom. With no substance and alot of Dunno’s 🤷‍♂️

Yea, it’s inexcusable for people to speculate when this arsehole won’t tell anyone what’s going on.

Well sorry ScottMorrisonMP Mr AlboMP has nailed it.

Andrews govt 'put Labor interests ahead of the public health of Victorians' | Sky News AustraliaLiberal MP Tim Wilson says the Andrews government was more interested in fulfilling internal interests of the Labor Party than protecting the public health of Victorians. \n\n“You had a state government who was more interested in making sure that companies that hired their union mates took precedence over the public health of its citizens,” he said in reference to the bungled hotel quarantine operation. \n\nMr Wilson said the Victorian government and Premier Daniel Andrews were “all power and no accountability”, and told Sky News “this is why people are so angry, because they have done the right thing and the state government has not”. \n\n“Essentially he’s broken the contract between the people of Victoria and the state government,” he said. \n\n“Under the contract, it was up to every Victorian to make sure we didn’t see a spread of the virus, only to see that the group supposed to be responsible for enforcing the law and making sure there wasn’t a spread, was ultimately the key participant in spreading it. \n\n“That’s why people are so angry, because it does seem pretty clear to everybody that there’s a direct link between the internal interests of the Labor Party and the state government at the expense of the public health of Victoria.” \n\nImage: News Corp Australia TimWilsonMP Thanks Dan.
