Sky News host Peta Credlin says US President Donald Trump has “made a terrible error of judgement” in his decision to withdraw troops from Syria. Credlin

Sky News host Peta Credlin says US President Donald Trump has “made a terrible error of judgement” in his decision to withdraw troops from Syria. On Sunday the White House announced that the United States will withdraw troops from northern Syria to step aside for a Turkish military operation in the region. Ms Credlin said she believed the president had erred by effectively announcing the United States would “[walk] away from the Middle East with Islamic State captured but not defeated.

” “In the short-term, without a US cop-on-the-beat, the world might be superficially safer for America… but without their presence, it's hardly going to be safer for anyone else, or indeed safer in the long-run, for Americans” she said. Ms Credlin said this military move by President Trump may satisfy his aim of “putting America first”, but she also feared this decision was “certainly no way to keep the world as safe as we can make it.

Actually... How about we wait and see eh? Instead of canning the POTUS eh!

Don’t agree at all. If you’re going to criticise anyone, give NATO a serve. Do nothings, don’t pay their way and now standing idly by while Turkey, a NATO member, invades Syria.

2000 troops is hardly a lot. And not all Kurds are worth fighting for. The PKK are exremist communists.

Never thought i would say this. I actually agree with Credlin.

Send Australian troops to fill the gap

Whats your plan .

Everyone’s an expert!

Iran is upset about it too...do you know why?

if far right Credlin thinks he's gone too far - then you know he's gone too far

As much as I admire his determination to fix America he has got this very wrong it is simply disgusting to use defenceless people as pawns and hang them out die!

Who’s Peta Credlin?

826Maureen Really Perhaps you would like to replace the troops

Now I’m confused. If Tony Abbott’s main advisor thinks it’s was a error of judgement, maybe it’s genius after all?

Maybe. But I tend to think. Deeper motives. You can't bash the bully until they throw the first punch.

How many troops are we talking about? Isn’t it a small number & only being withdrawn from northern Syria. Why is there no criticism of Turkey? Why is only criticism of the poor bastard from distant country who had to mop up IS? He can’t win if stays or if he partially withdraws.

Trump, the deal maker. Another enterprise failure.

Hey Peta, we have a free ride waiting for you to go help. Pack up.

Not another freakin neocon! With no insider knowledge of the real game being played here I suggest.

No he has not - Trump knows exactly what he is doing - exactly why he is US President and no one else is. Maybe read and understand the book of Revelation before spouting off !!

That’s the smartest thing Credlin has ever said.

he has only withdrawn 50 or so, American soldiers. Calm Down !!

why has he made an error of judgement

Ivanka opened new Trump Tower in Istanbul last week. As they say in the movies 'how convenient?'.

At last something we can all agree on. Oh except for Trump’s lackey, Scott “How Good Is Turkey” Morrison.

Perhaps not as big an error as when they were sent in?

credlin pmlive

A “terrible error in judgment” is just an ordinary, slow Wednesday for Trump, isn’t it?

...despite his great and unmatched wisdom? Is Credlin's greater, or just a bit nearly as good, or a bit less? Trump must be negatively impressed.

Just wait for it.....its coming....and now we are involved, he is the shit on my shoe I cant scrape off.....

Disagree on this one. He did the right thing bring troops home. If the rest of the world is so concerned they can go and occupy. Doubt we’ll see that but there all quick to criticise.

Not according the experts, carolinemarcus, Cory Bernardi and Bolt_RSS think he done the right thing.

Has anyone considered the fact that perhaps he has intel on this that no one else has. I trust he knows what he is doing.

Why doesn't she go and fight ? credlin

Lo Peta you'll get nominated for a Logie with that lil bit of wisdom

How does she even have a job much less criticise ANYONE.

Our pm needs to call it wrong now

More than one allie who have betrayed the kurds auspol

Ist time I agree with credlin but so has Morrison for not saying exactly that

Peta is wrong

He needs his troops to save the Pacific region rather than the Middle East. The Middle East war will still be going long after we're dead so his theory is stock up on troops for when the big one starts with China.

He didn't make a mistake. America is tired of undeclared wars and Operation: USELESS DIRT.

Seeing Morrison supports Trump has Credlin climbed out of Morrisons arse to disagree with him
